Them grabbing a priceless away point on a Thursday night at Zport Klubb Arschenspittel who finished fourth in the Moldovan Divizia Națională wouldn't get me down too much I don't think.  You might see a mackem in Milena, but you're still not going to see one in Milan

I would have to weigh it carefully if consigning spurs to being cut adrift was the sweetener

Have them draw against the mackems, brighton, chelsea and everton, defeats in the remaining 3 games putting them on 34 points - one west ham, forest & leeds win would see them down while taking points of teams currently above us, Win Win ;)

I'd hate to see a mackem in Stockholm mind :anguish:

Saw their team coaches at the Crown Plaza in Newcastle. Must not want to stay in Sunderland

Most of Sunderland’s opponents stay here, seen a few of their coaches. Always makes me think I’ve forgotten about a Newcastle game

Long-term it’s better for us if Spurs drop.

100%. A piece of the cartel chipped away. I'd happily see them lose every game, even against the Mackems.

A hope Spurs win 5-0 and every Newcastle fan should. The hate for Spurs is bit cringe imo. People say cartel etc but they financially are a very well ran club (not performance wise obviously) and haven't bent the rules like Chelsea.

The mackems would crumble with the additional games if they made Europe, it would be fun to see.

It won't be fun at all, I'd rather them never be in Europe.

They’d be comfortable favourites to win the conference league and for them to collect a trophy so quick after we ended our long wait would be galling.

:memeyeah:They are part of the group that brought in the rules to stop clubs like us spending

Nope. Hope Spurs lose as its too important to reduce the cartel monopoly block from 6 to 5 and replace Spurs with a club that votes against the monopoly. Mackems playing in Malmo has no effect on our club long term.

Agree to disagree but Spurs aren't a threat to us, they financially have constantly played by the rules unlike Chelsea, having Sunderland in Europe would be awful.

Want a Mackem win today.

No particular hate for Spurs, but them going down would be a once in a lifetime moment that most of us will never have seen before.

Whereas, Sunderland will most likely go back to being utter shit again next season, so we won't have to wait to long to have a laugh at them. And looking at their squad, it is no guarantee they win the Conference League, if they get there.

Spurs have been part of a group that have actively tried to kill the sport, including trying to get a veto on other clubs takeovers with project big picture. Playing by the rules is fine, trying to change the rules so that sport is as rigged as WWE is bad.

Sorry to quote my own post, but having thought about it more, I've just realised that Sunderland qualifying for Europe is also a once in a lifetime moment that most of us will have never seen before.

History could be made either way.

So yeah, not sure what I want to see today. Perhaps a draw will suffice for all concerned.

Every club would do the same in that position, if the shoe was on the other foot do you think our owners wouldn't do the same? Every single owners will do what ever is best for their club in that sense.

Would you be happy with our owners if they did that?

That shoe's not on the other foot though, so bye bye Spurs!
