Maddison, Kulusevski, Odobert, Bentancur, Romero, Kudus and Davies are all out for the season.

Isn’t Kudus back very soon?

Please Brighton don't put in a shit performance at the weekend.

Flying at the moment. The stench of the continent in their nostrils. Players gasping to get one over on their old manager. I’ve got faith.

Spurs now 11/10 third favourites for the drop. West Ham next at 2/1. Forest 6/1 and Leeds 16/1.

I think if Forest beat Burnley at the weekend it's between Spurs and West Ham.

They're in so much shit, I think they go.

Everything that could go wrong is going wrong. I think we go, but the one chance is De Zerbi getting us together at home and the crowd being able to put pressure on the refs. Then you’re just hoping West Ham get some bad luck.

I still don't believe they are going down. But flipping heck it might be close.

Always remember the seasons we went down and it just seemed like you just couldn't buy a point.

I have them finishing on 38 points. Beat Wolves and Leeds, draws against Brighton and Everton. West Ham finishing on 37. Although all the games are so tight. All of the teams down there will need to pick up points this weekend. Forest lose at home to Burnley and they are right in the shit.

There's just very little to suggest they're suddenly going to string results together.

They've not won a league game since December and have won two home games all season.

Do not jynx it.

It's all very reminiscent of us in 2009. We "only" had to beat Pompey, Boro and Fulham at home and we'd be safe, as if somehow winning three games in a month would be a piece of piss for a team that had won something like 1 in 13.

I think we know as much as anyone how psycologically difficult it can be to drag yourself out of a relegation spot once you find yourself occupying one, knowing that even if you get a win then another result going against you can leave you in there anyway.  And they looked completely fucked even before that.  Do we think Zebedee would do a Rafa and stay with them in the Championship if it came to that?

I'd take a few of their players like. They probably don't need to sell though

We’ll be selling a few. Probs not the ones you want though .

Got a ton of young players that could come in - Ashley Phillips is nominated for YoungPlayer of the Year in the Championship and has captained Stoke at times this season. Lankshear, Devine and Donley have all done well in the Championship. Vuskovic has been amazing for Hamburg and Mikey Moore has done well for Rangers but I’d expect them both to stay on loan another year. Couple of other kids coming through.

The problem is all the players with long-term injuries. We’d want to offload a few and the contract situation with relegation is unclear. We probably won’t take Palhinha and Kolo Muani. I’d expect Romero, Bentancur, Bissouma, Richarlison, Davies and Vicario to go. De Zerbi will make a call on a number of players but the ones who we are prepared to shift to generate money will probably include Porro, Van De Ven, Dragusin. Possibly Sarr, Simons. No idea about Gallagher.

You’ve got players De Zerbi would probably like to keep like Solanke, Kudus and Udogie but who may not want to stay in the Championship. Maddison and Kulusevski have been out so long it’s impossible to say - they may want to stay to rehab and other teams may not want to take the risk. Odobert is another in this category. It’s such a young squad you could see a lot of them staying. Decent chance next season starts:

[keeper]
Spence Danso Phillips Souza

Gray Bergvall

Kudus Maddison Tel

Solanke

Kinsky

Sarr

Lankshear

Devine

Donley

Odobert (maybe back end of the year)

We’d be generating an insane amount of money in sales.

When you get relegated - it’s the players that are good and other teams actually want that go.

Gray is going. Bergvall is going. Kudus is going. Would get £150m or more for the 3.

It’s the Bissouma’s, Richarlison’s that are hard to shift. Late 20’s, big wages, low fees these are the ones that end up staying.

Like whatever we get for Livramento, we throw that on Spence.
