He's definately going to give teams problems this year, I love the fact hes scoring with his feet as well now, not just his head, and the work rate for his third goal today, a nice cross, backing it up with a run into the box to finish off what has to be one of the biggest 1-2's I can remember. Every right for him to be on Cloud 9 really.

Baldini was there to see it all too.

If England do look for a tall strong centre forward, even just for squad purposes, what other options are out there - Crouch wont have many more years left at International level.

The lad has a chance.

Better in the air than Crouch. In terms of aerial ability there are few that can touch him, tbh.

he's going to get more caps than Darren Bent will in his career. Good times.

Jesus that will upset a few faces down the road.

Hope he does well. Not often a true 'old fashioned' Center Forward comes along these days.

He's gonna get called up no doubt about it.

Hopefully not by Scotland. Think he's be great alongside Rooney.

Not a chance he'd plump for Scotland IMO.

Without going overboard on today's performance; but surely a hattrick against a good Villa squad at a time when England need a refresh should see him at least come on for a cap in the next squad especially if he keeps up his performances, if he gets more goals its nailed on. People mention Crouch but Crouch doesn't really offer much in the air, Carroll does, probably more than any other English forward at this level.

That was getting on my nerves last season like. All those Commentators saying what a fantastic volley on his weaker left foot...

Had some fantastic leaps and head ons today, just like he did on Monday. Seems to 'hang in the air', I'd hate to think what would happen in an England set up with a mobile intelligent striker along side him.
