Are the people who are pissed off with the club on this one thinking we should have matched West Hams offer of £15m transfer fee plus £2m loan fee or whatever it was? Carroll rejecting them was the only way he was coming here, obviously they werent gonna accept our bid with West Hams much better offer on the table. Honestly we still have Shola who is a "decent" cover. I may have bias but 10m+ for Carroll is never a good deal. It's the disappointment the he was seemingly our only remaining iron in the fire rather than a disappointment at missing out on Carroll, per se.
