Twinport53
I'd say nobody at the club has a clue how next seasons squad will look. So to see Ryan Taylor who can play multiple positions released, have to say I'm shocked at that. Nar, injuries had taken their tole, he was crap in the end. He was crap to begin with man. Don't argue the case otherwise. Injuries made a poor footballer, even worse. Aye he was but he had his moments. He had a single moment, scoring against the mackems. Even then, am sure it was a deep cross to the far post, not a shot on goal.
Mole_Toonfan
We now have no one who can take a decent free kick (although that ability seemed to have deserted our one and only free kick 'specialist' Ryan Taylor) unless Sylvain Marveaux gets reintegrated into the squad for that last year of his contract (I doubt that will happen). We need to buy at least one player who can take a dangerous free kick. How about sorting out our general play first? Don't see good team going you know what we need lads? A good free kick spspecialist!

A good free kick spspecialist! Most teams have someone who can take a good free kick. We don't. We win a free kick in a dangerous position and nothing comes from it. Most teams tend to score quite a lot of their goals from set pieces. Not NUFC.

Add to that a coherent passing or counter attacking philosophy. We have none of these, a freekick taker will not be of priority.

I'm saying it would be nice to get a creative midfielder or two who can actually take a decent free kick. He did take a few corners which were pretty good though.
Lenny
Don't think he's good enough and don't really know how much influence he has on the playing staff so I'm not bothered by this one.
henke
I wasn't trying to argue his case at all. I just thought the club would view him as a guy who could back up several positions, so in the club's eyes would be worth keeping hold of.
mozy
Hope he goes on to have a couple of injury free seasons before he retires, deserves it after the injuries struck.

St1pe
I feel a bit sorry for him because he was hung out to dry by Carver. He's been out of his depth since his injury and asked to play in a position he couldn't have done when he was at his best. The result of that being a load of people have turned on him. He's no where near good enough but he's always put his all in for the team. I think he deserves a bit more respect personally.
toon25
The fact Carver played this fella over Abeid man. Nowhere near good enough and never was.

Wallace
Whoever the player is, there is a right way and a wrong way to do things and we always do it the wrong way. The club say they are learning from their mistakes and want to be warm and welcoming but obviously haven't started those lessons yet. It always seem as if a player leaves on a sour note - bundled out the backdoor with undue haste. Santon, Barton, Nolan, Carroll etc. The only exception seems to have been Debuchy. Ronaldo
Feel for Ryan Taylor like. Good pro, average footballer, top bloke. #OverTheWall He's picked up a good living for 6 1/2 years in return for 2 memorable PL goals and fuck all else. He's the last player deserving of sympathy. Utterly abysmal footballer.
