I personally think Pardew has quite a lot to do with his decline, tbh. How come? His delivery/end product was always pretty awful, his biggest asset was carrying the ball and relieving pressure. It was clear by the end his legs went so he was literally useless. His end product has always been undeniably shaky, however he'd just come off the back of a significantly improved previous 12 months when Pardew took over from what I remember, and the moment Enrique was sold off Pardew decided to use him as a second fullback to cover for how awful a left back Raylor was.
