Raconteur
All these formations tend to blur after a while, but has anyone suggested Edgar as LB? Wasn't he playing there when he scored against Man U? We really would like our best CB playing at CB, but we also need to look after Lennon, who I have spent years slating but has really come on this season. Edgar put in a very good shift last week - perhaps he is the solution? Beye has been pretty solid in the middle, and Saylor's best performances this season has been his recent efforts out wide - I'd suggest a back four consisting of: Saylor - Beye - Bassong - Edgar ? TRon
It's movement that does us in midfield, not really power as such. In a nutshell, against a team that has movement and pace in midfield we don't really stand much of a chance. Said earlier that with such sluggish midfielders our best bet might be to do a Stoke and go for the physical approach. That should suit the likes of Ryan, Nolan and butt as they won't have to run and pass much. Just stick Andy Carroll up front and make sure we wing plenty of crosses in. Guest neesy111
if steven taylor is fit, then could playing beye at LB and colo at RB be an option i know colo is a liability but much less so at RB

Greg
Sounds like Greg's being racist to me. Are you going to back up this libelous nonsense? I'd be interested to hear this too tbh. I was taking the piss. I'm sure Greg's laughing his head off. it's the old "i'll have a go but if it does work i'll claim was joke"scam. Bingo. Looked blatantly like a joke to me, but I guess everyone's just sticking up for each other. "Bingo" It was a joke so calm down, claims of Libel are laughable, its a forum message board. If you took it as serious then you I truly am worried. Funnily enough I don't find being labeled 'racist' funny.

Guest optimistic nit
the above, but butt or nolan instead of duff, considering we are away playing only 1 cm is a bit risky.

Ashley17
Expecting "Winn" to turn up on here today again with the team news, seeing that he was spot on last week with his ITK-ism (except predicting Martins' injury..)

Yeah, that was pretty impressive, especially given that the majority of people just straight up laughed at him.
