Dr.Spaceman
Massive amount of credit to him tonight, not played a lot this season and didn't look out of place whatsoever.
Christmas Tree
Did really well tonight.
Ronaldo
Did everything right tonight, if Scott Parker is class then so is Guthrie. Even for you.
Yorkie
I'm a fan of his, and he surprised even me tonight. Top performance; although he's miles away from Tiote and Cabaye, it's a relief to know that we've got this kind of cover.
binnsy
Played excellently in the last two games, will have to feel slightly aggreived at the weekend if Tiote is fit and comes back in.
Numbers
Still don't rate him, but had a reasonable game tonight.
Mole_Toonfan
He was fantastic tonight, was better than Cabaye imo even Simpson and Obertan were class whats next Alan Smith comes in January and starts banging in the goals
Cronky
Best I've seen him play. Looked really composed.

thenige
Was going to say, considering the circumstance and opposition, best game for us he's ever had?
Anderson
I really like him. Didn't look out of place today and proved again he is more than capable of providing decent cover for us. Would hope he gets a new contract, although I'd imagine at this point in his career he'll be looking to move elsewhere for some more game time. Shak
Looked like the player you always thought he could be last night. Seemed in good shape, focused and committed which has rarely been the case the last few years. Hopefully he's got it together and can become a good squad player going forward, the talent has always been there.
Lush Vlad
Always liked the lad, but saw a different side to him last night. Never knew he had that sort of fight and workrate in him. Covered the full backs, tracked his runners, pressed all over the pitch and wasn't afraid to put a foot in. The tidy passing and odd 40 yard ping is standard for him, he's always had that in his locker. Covered the most amount of ground out of all the players on the pitch, not surprised to read that either, he was superb last night. Good squad player and I hope we keep him. Not meaning to piss on his chips, he's going to find it much harder against Everton. They'll play 5 in the middle, so we might struggle like we did against Wigan and they don't have Delap and Whelan as hey're centre midfielders! Chicken Dancer
Was my favourite player in the Championship, we really started smashing teams when he started to play in the middle. Definately would give him a new deal, great cover to have, and can take a decent set piece.

Skirge
If thats IF he can keep that form its a massive bonus for us the only issue is Tiote will keep him out of the team so its going to be tough for him to prove he can be consistent. He does look a lot trimmer though, lost that extra bit of weight he was carrying.
David28
Wow, how 1 game can change people's opinions. Almost in the completely other way than that match against WBA, Hughton's last.

AyeDubbleYoo
I always thought Guthrie was a decent squad player, but I was really surprised by the quality of his performance last night. Looks like he might be working hard on his strength and athleticism as well, which is the main thing that held him back in the past.
Sifu
Wow, how 1 game can change people's opinions. Almost in the completely other way than that match against WBA, Hughton's last. Some people still let that WBA game cloud their judgement about Guthrie. My mate says that he can't really forgive Guthrie for that slip because it essentially cost Hughton his job. I still rate the lad and his performance last night just shows that he is pretty reliable.
Geordie Ahmed
Played well last night, happy for him. Never understood the over the top criticism he has received, hopefully this goes some way to proving those people wrong
mosstef
He did well last night, but he needs to put in a few more performances like yesterday and against Blackburn to make up for that gutless performance last season at West Brom.

What a naive, narrow minded view from your mate, his days were clearly numbered anyway and we deserved a pasting that day, the entire team were embarrassing. Indeed Nate, I'm trying to set him straight. He does give Guthrie credit when it's due but he's still standing by that "Guthrie cost Hughton his job" thing. I'm sure in time, he'll let that go.
