Ikon
He's class with the ball at his feet imo (when fit and right mentally)
David28
Think Guthrie can't replace the Tiote of yesterday but, he can do a job in CM alongside Cabaye. He's done well for us whenever he played this season.
STM
Wasn't it Guthrie and Cabaye in centre midfield vs Stoke? He put in a great performance then, we could do with him back.

I think it was aye. I'd be quite happy with a Guthrie/Cabaye partner ship for 6-8 weeks. I'd imagine he'd get us a couple of goals too.
Fenham Mag
Guthrie/Cabaye was pretty damn good partnership.

STM
Similar players too, nice neat footwork. I remember while they were playing together not knowing which one was on the ball, which is a huge compliment to Guthrie.

Everton at home, for example. He ran the show.
littlelunchbox
guthrie is an incredible passer of the ball, if not the best in our entire squad. his set plays are very good aswell. thats probably two things he has over tiote. hope he gets his new contract with us. can't wait to see a trio of cabaye guth and tiote in our midfield. Sifu
Guthrie being back is a massive boost now that Tiote is off the ACoN If we don't see him on Saturday, then hopefully, he'll be in a position to start against QPR.
AlanSkÃrare
Him and Cabaye will be good enough until Cheik's back.
Dr Venkman
sweet, really hope he's fit enough for the last half hour of QPR at least, we're gonna need him this month
Benwell Lad
I thought he was a consistent top performer in every game he played during that spell, it wasn't like he just had one good game.
Pata
I thought he was a consistent top performer in every game he played during that spell, it wasn't like he just had one good game. Absolutely, if he's fit I'm not so bothered about Tiote leaving. Demba on the other hand...
Tiresias
If he's fit less paniced about Tiote going.
Ginola
Hopefully he'll be back putting in performances similar to those he was giving before his injury. It'll certainly ease the loss of Tiote if he does.
Lush Vlad
With Danny Guthrie not due back in training until Monday, Mehdi Abeid and Haris Vuckic are in contention to partner him (Cabaye) in midfield. I'd give Abeid a go seeing as Vuckic has had a couple of chances recently.
The Prophet
Has anyone heard anything about a potential new contract? Would be more than content to keep him on the books, useful squad player.
Heron
Has anyone heard anything about a potential new contract? Would be more than content to keep him on the books, useful squad player. We have a few like that who we must keep. Raylor being one.
Tiresias
Need to keep Guthrie, looked like ideal backup for Cabaye from his games earlier. I will agree on Raylor, but hopefully never again rely on him for so much. I am a big fan of utility players, think every club needs a few who can change position.
