Disco
Messi so far this year, and there should by alot more to come. 45 games, 47 goals, and 23 assists. is there anyone in history that can match his stats this season? Dixie Dean got 60 in 39 games in the 20s for Everton.

GM
BAYERN SACK VAN GAAL http://www.skysports.com/story/0,,11890_6863282,00.html Bayern Munich have sacked coach Louis van Gaal 24 hours after Saturday's 1-1 draw at Nurnberg The Dutchman was due to leave the club at the end of the season but his departure has now been brought forward, with the club fourth in the Bundesliga and struggling to ensure qualification for next season's Champions League. Van Gaal led the club to the league title last season, his first at the club, and also to the final of the Champions League. His assistant Andries Jonker has been placed in caretaker charge until the end of the season, when Jupp Heynckes will succeed him as the club's new permanent boss. A club statement read: "The board, director of sport and president of FC Bayern took this decision together "After the 1-1 draw in Nurnberg yesterday and the renewed slide to fourth in the table, and with the threat of missing out on the minimum aim of a place in the Champions League next season, this decision was taken in FC Bayern's best interests. "Louis van Gaal's assistants Frans Hoek, Jos van Dijk and Max Reckers have also been relieved of their duties."

Thespence
Chron Face-2-Face this week is Alan Shearer & it will be over the next two days, worth remembering the Face-2-Face articles often don't make it to the net. Wonder if The Lion will go all petty & fire some shots at Del. Also as a sportsfan it has been tragic for me in the last week, was at Sport Central last Wed & watched the Eagles lose a title decider to the Mersey Tigers in basketball, which meant the Tigers won the league title on the Eagles court. On Saturday watched the Newcastle Falcons go bottom of the league after losing to the pre-game bottom club Leeds. Sunday the Magpies lost to Villa. DAM YOU "BIRDS"!!!! J-League All-Stars charity match. Broke right through Japan's first-choice back four and delivered a ridiculously good finish. Do a search for "King Kazu" on the video site, it's the second one down. What a f***ing legend this guy is. Been playing professional football since the year I was born and still keeps himself in good enough shape to turn out at a respectable level. Absolutely loved by the Japanese and respected all over Asia, even in Korea. You can hear the commentators choking up when he does that crazy dance thing to celebrate his goal. A model professional of the absolute highest order.
ponsaelius
There's little (probably wrong) rumours that if Japan decide to go to the Copa in the end he'll be part of the squad. How awesome would that be man
