Thespence
One player who everyone's forgot in this thread seems to have disappeared off the face of the planet. Where the f*** is David Edgar? Can't see I've seen him in the Burnley side. Edgar hasn't appeared in the Premier League for Burnley yet.
LoveItIfWeBeatU
I see Milner has scored again for Aston Villa today. He must be getting on for having scored more goals for Aston Villa than he did at Newcastle. Duff seems to be a Hell of a lot more productive goals and assists wise at Fulham than he ever was for us. I wonder why?
TRon
I made a similar thread looking at some reasons because I didn't see this thread....must have been on page 3 or something. http://www.newcastle-online.org/nufcforum/index.php/topic,66060.0.html Mods are welcome to merge them. leffe186
Went to the Villa-Spurs match. Beye was RB and played well, though Villa were pushed back for most of the game so he didn't have to do much except hold his position and defend. Milner looked good, up and down as usual, but again spent a great deal of the match defending. Bassong also did his job well, he used his pace to cope with Agbonlahor and let those around him do the passing for him.
LoveItIfWeBeatU
I see Given also saved a penalty for Man City again. He rarely saved penalties when he played for Newcastle.

brummie
Beye is an important contributor to a pretty strong defensive squad, and is probably realising he won't play anything like every game unless he does exceptionally well. He did well at Portsmouth on Tuesday by all account, but was playing because Warnock was ill, and Luke Young got shunted to LB to cover (Bouma not back, Shorey on loan). As I said, though, defensively we've got an awful lot of options, so nobody is going to be an automatic first choice, with the possible exception of Warnock at the moment (who has been superb all season, as it happens), because of the lack of cover at LB. Guest firetotheworks
The only player I really, really wish we still had is Given tbh. The others are hopefully replaceable in the not too distant future.
Guest Alan Shearer 9
Our fans can be so unimaginative. 'omg let's sign Beye again! Let's sign RObert! Is Viduka back off holiday yet?' they can all fuck off, a poisonous squad that showed an incredible lack of effort and got us relegated.

BlueStar
How's it going for players who ended up not signing for Newcastle? http://www.skysports.com/story/0,19528,11661_5763464,00.html Manchester City fear midfielder Michael Johnson could miss the rest of the season after suffering a knee injury in training. He's the one I miss least. The hero worship was all one way, he seems very happy at Moneybags City and I'm very pleased to have Harper and Krul here so it worked out nicely. Cajun
As much of a complete and utter cockend that he is, Bellamy would have been quite good to have had these last few years.

Without giving it too much thought I'd say he's probably had the most success/best career of those who left.

LoveItIfWeBeatU
Duff scores again! He's probably one of Fulham's best players. How come he was usually shit for Newcastle yet is on fire for Fulham? Is it really all down to the manager and coaches?
Guest BooBoo
Looks completely rejuvinated at Fulham. I wish we had kept him and sold them Guttierez.
Dave
Looks completely rejuvinated at Fulham. I wish we had kept him and sold them Guttierez. If we'd kept him he wouldn't look rejuvinated. As I said the other day, it just happens all the fucking time with us.
Belfast Boy
Looks completely rejuvinated at Fulham. I wish we had kept him and sold them Guttierez. Except then Duff wouldn't be rejuvinated and would be fannying around on the wing with a face like a wet trout.

Playing alongside someone like Danny Murphy is probably a lot easier than the statuesque central midfielders he was with here.
