Fabrice Pancrate goes back to France

I see. He looks pretty damn mobile to me.

Same to me. Was expecting to get a journey man then saw him run round the pitch last week. Although it was a bit pointless, he caught my eye. As soon as he came on today the likes of Jonas seemed to start playing again. He also did those stepovers before the goal. Got to say I hope there is more to come.

Long term I reckon the central midfield should be Nolan with either Guthrie or Smith, with Jonas and Pancrate on the wings.

Long term hopefully being back in the Premier League then Nolan isn't good enough to play in a conventional 4 4 2.

Aye, but you said that about Harewood and he couldn't run for the bus.

He was, at Villa and West Ham.

Sorry I didn't monitor his personal training sessions whilst he wasn't playing.

Did you not check him out at Wolves last season  or his pre-season games this year? SHAME ON YOU!!!

There's something about French wingers and us isn't there. :smitten:

I'll be honest, from a very shallow point of view - he didn't look like much other than a bit of comedy when he came on against Swansea. Ran and ran for a bit, but in his own half just looked a bit rabbits-in-headlights. Obviously very unfair, with him not playing football for a while and it being his debut. If he's genuinely got just a touch of quality, then he'll be an incredibly valuable asset. It's about time we had balance on the wings.

Already deserves a start on the right wing, which is very good for us. So much goes through Jonas for us, being able to break away on both sides will make us far more dangerous at any level. So far seems just the player we needed.

Before the football league show starts want to get my "fuck me that's some goal!" In anticipation. You lot who have seen it better not have built up my hopes!

It's a lovely turn and a smash in off the bar from close enough in to give the keeper no chance. Very nice goal, but not quite as amazing as some have made out.

Pity we'll only see it once and from one angle though.

Was a nice goal, but not out of this world good. He got a bad touch that hit the defender so he had to pick up the ball again. Clever work by Carrol obstructing the watford defender before this, and good hold up play by Pancake and nice timing on the drible as the second watford player arrives to help out ending with a nice finish with his weaker foot.
