Karjala
Rumours of falling foul of financial fair play. Probably bollocks but they are down if not. Yeah that sounds like bullshit. There are plenty of other clubs that are more likely to have broken that rule, if it even exists.
Mr. Snrub
Boring James Milner @BoringMilner 31 Dec Pablo Zabaleta just wished me a Happy New Year. I said it's not New Year for 3¾ hours. He said I might be asleep then. I said good point.

Ryan_Taylor
@BBCSport: Bolton Wanderers announce they are £163.8m in debt after making a loss of £50m in the year ending June 2013 http://t.co/HU3wRFo1ef #BWFC Hi, we're fucked.
Guest
Fucking hell that's terrible. How can they survive that?
Cajun
Fuck it, let my not very well thought out dream become reality and take a punt on Lee Chung-Yong. They must be absolutely desperate for cash, sure some French club would give us a few quid for Obertan, practically a straight swap! Plus think of the shirt sales! Unlikely given that almost all of that debt figure is owed to the club's owner, who must know he's never going to see most of that money ever again. Dr.Spaceman
Fucking hell that's terrible. How can they survive that? No it's not, it's fantastic. Gartside is as shady as they get, from the same school as Big Fat Sam and Saggy Face. That and their fans got way ahead of themselves when they were in Europe, thinking they were actually a big club. 17,410 at the Reebok for the Boro game at the weekend appears to have been a decent crowd, they had 14,923 for their previous home game against Charlton. I hope they go into free-fall, they're an embarrassment.

Dokko
Might only be gates of 15,000 but that's 15,000 people who love something as much as us and done nothing wrong or deserve to have that threatened. Suffer form , relegations, loss of players, etc...but to have their existence questioned is awful IMO and even if it is owed to one man, it's a lot of money to lose a year and he might wind up the club as he has no choice. Dr.Spaceman
I fucking despise them. Just been on Wanderers Ways for a bit, seems they think the Fat Cunt is getting the chop at WHU today and going to be appointed their new manager.
Toonpack
Don't ever like the idea of any club going down the tubes completely. I do, it never happens sadly, they just get reinvented, IF a club really did "go down the tubes" it may stop the ridiculous over spending throughout the game. Then and only then will the fans who turn up be important again.

The last big signing I can remember was Anelka for £8m and that was about 8 years ago!

LFEE
I've wished for their demise after their ticket office messed me around for a few hours a couple of Christmas's ago making me miss the start of the game... I remember gleefully skipping out the ground after beating them 0-2 still to this day It's been downhill for them ever since...
Guest bimpy474
You only get in that kind of mess if the chairman lets you, clear to see why Gartside wanted relegation removed from the premiership. Total wanker with a massive ego who is ruining that club.
Big Geordie
What happened to the lad that Newcastle were linked with a couple of years ago, from Bolton - Mark Davies. Was very highly rated apparently.
TRC
Bolton got massively fucked over to be fair. Their two best players getting injured for the full season when they went down, then the ref screwed them on the last day too.

BillClinton
I feel bad for Bolton. Never should have been relegated if things were fair. They sold Cahill, had Holden and Lee go down with bad injuries, and then Muamba.. That's some terrible luck.

Think of some of the players they've had over the years - Okocha and Djorkaeff and Hierro and Anelka - they'd be on squillions. The first three were free (or close enough to it), but they would be on mega-wages...
madras
could it not be just a standard debt thing ? you can afford a certain lifestyle in debt till your circumstances change , you can survive for a while like that but after a bit you struggle to be able to finance the debt and then the debt mounts up and it's just a spiral unless you can increase your income.
