Tooj
What about that Skjelbreid form Rosenborg? think he is a Newcastle fan as well I've heard a rumour Shearer supports the Toon as well. Not sure if it's true mind.

Conjo
Players I'd definatley like us to go for if west ham goes down are Diamanti and Behrami. Maybe Noble, but he is very similar to Guthrie and Barton. Maybe Green, but then again we have other areas on the pitch that needs investment more. Maybe Cole, but we already have a big guy up front, and he would be expensive. Maybe Upson, but he is old and injury prone. Behrami at right back, with Simspson as back up isn't to shabby at all. Diamanti to get some creativity and end product from midfield. Only thing we would need after that to "secure" our place in the PL is a goalscorer imo. Mowen
Collison looks good to me.
Guest
Diamanti's only scored 4 in open play.
Conjo
7 goals and 2 assists in 25 appearances(8 as sub), for a struggling side isn't that bad at all.
Guest
4 of them penalties.
Conjo
Didn't know that. I would still like him in our squad though. 3 goals and 2 assists in 17 starts and 8 subs for a midfielder isn't awful by any means, and we could do with a set piece specialist in our squad. LoveItIfWeBeatU
Probably mentioned already, but Matt Derbyshire anyone? Reading these articles, it doesn't sound like he'll be wanting to leave Olympiakos (who play in the Champions League) for a team fighting to stay up in the Premiership: - http://www.guardian.co.uk/football/2009/sep/28/matt-derbyshire-olympiakos-blackburn-rovers http://www.independent.co.uk/sport/football/european/matt-derbyshire-ive-got-the-beach-the-pool-you-cant-pop-out-in-lancashire-and-find-that-1907442.html Blackburn is his home town club and he left them for Olympiakos. I'd be surprised if he wanted to join Newcastle, especially as he wants to win medals.
Guest Heneage
Behrami for a replacement for Simpson would be good. He is primarily a right full back.
Ash
Collison and Noble would be the two first on my list if West Ham go down. Although not spectacular, Noble is a very tidy footballer whereas Collison offers a little more going forward. Diamanti would also be a good addition as well as Behrami. I'd also be looking to try and nab Stanislas to back Jonas up.
Village Idiot
Stanislas looks promising in my opinion. But he's the kind of player they might want to hold on to, low wages and good future.

ElDiablo
Off the potentially relegated sides I'd look at: Eagles for cover/competition on the wings. Diamanti. Behrami. Belhadj. KP Boateng. Bikey.

johnnypd
Collison looks good to me. probably go to a big side, has the ability for it. if we're in with a shout i'd love for us to get him.

Neil
Get yourselves Seamus Coleman on loan, as I have a horrible feeling Moyes isn't going to give him much of a chance next year. Yes, he's developing Rodwell and Gosling brilliantly atm but Coleman.... RB.... Neville! He's undroppable, unfortunately. I'd love to be wrong. He was given a few games around the middle of the season, perhaps most notably he was introduced when we were 2-0 down at home to Spurs with 20 minutes to go. He came on and ripped Gareth Bale a new one and we drew 2-2. Also came on against Carlisle when we were struggling, within a few minutes he created a goal for Cahill. Already got 4 assists for Blackpool in a few games on loan there I believe. Got a very big future, I think, but next year is a big year and he needs to be playing PL football. oldtype
RB is certainly a priority... I think out of our current XI Simpson is the one I have the least faith in to make the step up. Possibly even moreso than Kevin Nolan (gasp)
