Would have Roberts here in a heart beat. Better than the majority of options we currently have up front.

Majority?

He's better than every single one of them.

Shockingly true.

I'd much rather stick with either of Carroll or Shola, than bring in Roberts.

Roberts is much better than Ameobi.

I don't think I've seen anyone miss as any 1 on 1 chances than Jason Roberts.  Defo rather just keep Shola isntead of spending more needless money on someone that's not gonna improve us in the slightest.

As for Carroll, he seems to be improving all the time, and his ariel ability alone is better than anything Roberts has to offer.

Jason Roberts is a f***ing awful lower league striker.

I'm by no means a massive fan of Jason Roberts, but this arrogant and dismissive attitude that 'fans' like you have is one of the reasons that we're such an easy target for the media.

A 'fucking awful lower league striker' generally doesn't manage 21 goals in the Championship, none of our super strikers got near that last season.

Not to mention the fact that Roberts has done a credible job in the Premier League (yes, the top league) for the last 6 years. Wise up.

His goal record for Blackburn is no better then Ameobi's!  But your using a Championship goal record to prove he's a good striker?  You dick

And just When did I say he was a good striker? I said he was better than our lot.

Always thought Roberts had the attributes to be a good striker.  Remember seeing him play at SJP a few years back and thought he looked good, but never seemed to ever do that well in the Premier League.

With just a few days to go before United mark their top-flight comeback with a trip to Old Trafford, Hughton – who says he is hopeful of adding at least one new face before Monday’s game – admits that it would be “unrealistic” to even target a European qualification spot this season.
