Willow
Getting fitter all the time, may be tough fitting him in the team once he's up to full speed! Some sublime touches today and some quality inter-passing with cabaye et al. Looking good
James
Sometimes he was sublime but at the same time he wasted possession too easily by trying to beat his man but just running in to him. Something match fitness will hopefully fix.
Zero
Tough decision. Would like to see him starting but I don't know who should be dropped, Ba or Best, or even whether playing only 1 forward is a good idea.
TRon
I think he was desperate to do something spectacular today after being starved of football for so long. He will be class when he is starting games regularly. I still think he's the missing link to play behind the striker. I think he'll replace Best eventually to give us our best 11. Guest Heneage
In some ways he came on at the worst possible time. Blackburn were looking to limit the damage and just shut down all the space.

Newcastle Fan
He smashed a ball into me in the warm up, had a boner for the next 10 minutes
Skirge
Tell he is rusty but you can see his class and Cabaye came to life when HBA came on.
TRon
Tell he is rusty but you can see his class and Cabaye came to life when HBA came on. That's why I think he has to be starting games sooner rather than later. Cabaye needs someone in front of him to bridge the gap between midfield and attack. Skeletor
Also Ben Arfa draws players out of position opening up the space for every one else. Now that the other players are awesomely talented it's going to be a thing of beauty.

alpal78
Genuine emotion when he came on. You have to be heartless not to feel any emotion especially after the way he clapped the fans even when on the stretcher with a broken leg
Ikon
I got some serious goose bumps (sp?) when he came on!
Dave
The reception for Ba going off and Ben Arfa coming on was class. Thought he was 'only' okay, but this is just the first step. Can't wait to see him back in full flow, I just hope our fans recognise that he's the kind of player that will invariably waste a lot of promising situations during a match by trying to do far too much. Very true. One time, he made some space and should have played it to Simpson to whip it in, but he turned back and tried to take on two blokes. Think he really wanted to impress today, sure he wont be as eager as time goes on. Noticed he was down the tunnel pretty sharp after the final whistle?? ? Aye, I chuckled at that though was disappointed he lost the ball. He just didn't want to give it to Simpson. Not even kidding. It happens a fair bit. I notice Pardew says he was going to bring Lovenkrands on instead btw.
Gallowgate Toon
Bit harsh on the lad Dave! Must have been a multitude of emotions and thughts going through him when he was on the pitch. In his previous outings for us, he's always been a lot less selfish than i've expected him to be.
