yiman
South of a couple of drinks and Shola's first touch is soft and luscious, adding the cream to a grand World Cup ........who'd a thought it?

Tiresias
there's something deeply disconcerting to turn my head round to keep an eye on the world cup on tv and seeing Shola there. It's like some cosmic joke or something
yiman
But beautifully surreal isn't it ?

Dinho lad
Simply doesn't deserve to be playing at this stage, just like he didn't deserve to play for us for 14 years. Lucky shit.
yiman
The Robson romance which is for me would live with Tiote's equaliser and Shola strolling though Brazil, not a recipe for success but interesting

sbnufc
The progression of his positioning tonight when he came on was great Came on and was (seemed to be) told to play the 1 behind the main striker in a 4-4-1-1. Few minutes go by and more pressure comes from Bosnia. He's moved back to RCM in 4-5-1. Few more minutes pass and he's suddenly a CDM sitting in front of the back 4. Comes to the last 5 minutes, and he's often the furthest Nigeria player back, playing as an emergency 3rd CB. So much adaptability! Looked more like cause he couldnt be arsed to get "out" and up the pitch, but aye. If he got to LB I'm sure Pardew wouldve given him a new contract
Zero
To be fair, he deserves to be on the pitch, for that Nation.

David28
Really hope Nigeria make it out of the group, I'm loving watching Shola on the big stage. Just imagine him knocking out some big team with a penalty in the last minutes of a game.
