Yorkie
Am I reading that right in that he's saying it was the board's decision and it was left up to Pardew to pass the message on?? Does that absolve him of blame?

Does that absolve him of blame? no I have always believed it was the board's decision as Pardew didn't have any say on which players were bought or sold. However, the fact that Jonas is also angry with Pardew implies that he believes Pardew was also involved. It does seem as if Pardew was not exactly sympathetic to his situation which probably makes it even more galling to him when Pardew made such a big thing of his return to the club. Disco
We are such a heartless club these days. TBF he was taking the club to the cleaners by not forfeiting the wage he was due as per his contract.
Paully
Vile and disgusting club under the fat parasite so no surprise. No surprise that Pardew acted like a cunt too. To think these cheeky wankers used him on the front of the programme last weekend too! No shame at all!

Guest Geordiesned
Clearly a board decision but Pardew happy enough to do their dirty work. The same man who refused Don Hutchinson permission to go to his mum's/dad's (?) funeral.

Memphis
Jonas seems like such a fabulous guy. Awful to think how the club treated him at his life's lowest point. And not to pay for his medical treatment... It's somehow even more of a slap in the face how the club has tried to share the obvious goodwill being shown to Jonas after treating him like shit. We are an abhorrent club.
Varadi
jonas gutierrez @elgalgojonas · 1h 1 hour ago A club is not about a owner, a manager or a player, is about the fans and I proud about the fans of newcastle, thanks for the support
Klaus
The love for Jonas on here is strange, people were crying out for him to be dropped when he was a guaranteed starter under Pardew. He was slated almost as bad as gouffran is now. Obviously it is still great to see he has made a full recovery
SEMTEX
Not sure anyone actually wants him to play football like. Unless it's ahead of Obertan. They just like him as a person. Not that strange iyam.

AyeDubbleYoo
Judging by the last couple of games he's not far off deserving a start TBH.
DJ_NUFC
At this point I'd park a bus instead of Obertan, so having the incredibly awesome* Jonas in his place is a boon. Jonas all the way. * as a person, not as a player.
ToonTastic
Judging by the last couple of games he's not far off deserving a start TBH. This is true and I'd certainly start him over Sammy, Gouf and Obertan.
SEMTEX
Judging by the last couple of games he's not far off deserving a start TBH. Well, aye, given Obertan gets games, there's no reason why Jonas shouldn't. Definitely doesn't mean I want Jonas to be playing. There's a lot of things happening that I don't want to happen. He was slated almost as bad as gouffran is now. Obviously it is still great to see he has made a full recovery It's called compassion and human decency, look it up. . It's not only that. The guy was rotting away in a terrible team, producing nothing of note to merit his place in it. Since then he's had some time away from football, and a health scare to boot. He is clearly playing with a renewed purpose, even if it's only to try and repay the support of the fans in the form of dogged hard work. To me that is a lot more meaningful than anything Gouffran and Obertan bring to the team. If he must play it should be in the middle though. He hasn;t been a proper winger since his first ever game for us at Old Trafford.
nufcjb
He did well against Arsenal in Anita's place. Always looking up and trying to thread a pass to the front. Anita only passes sideways or losses it most of the time especially against Arsenal.
