bulivye
Would love Donovan here, but if we're in a race with Everton, then there's only one option in his mind. Given his success there, he'll see it as a good place to go back to to further establish himself outside of America. i've been sent this link: http://www.goal.com/en-gb/news/2896/premier-league/2010/10/26/2183355/newcastle-united-join-everton-in-the-race-for-american-loan-star-
Elbel1
Who is Landon Donovan? I am Landon Donovan I was hoping that the movies buffs out there would have picked up on the Spartacus theme and joined in with a few 'No, I am Landon Donovan' Never mind, the moment has passed

joeyt
Queens Park Rangers are hoping to boost their defence by acquiring Sean Morrison of Swindon but face a battle with Newcastle and Sunderland for the highly rated 19-year-old. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-1324028/Championship-leaders-QPR-Swindons-teenage-defender-Sean-Morrison.html
CaliMag
Donovan is going to Everton. DOnovan has said this on many ocassions. His only caveat being "...if Moyes would have me back" is what he has said here stateside. If for some bizarre reason Moyes didn't want him (like the Board says they don't want to pay his wages or the squad was too big, etc) then yes we could go in for him. I would not be surprised if Houghton has already enquired with the MLS as a contingency. I can't see many MLS players improving the squad as a loan option in January... that are realistic (Yes I know we could do with a real right winger). Ronaldo
It's the right view. Signing players like Beckham is the main reason for the decline we've experienced in the last half-decade.

We (or at least, me) were just talking about a loan deal - which wouldn't be that bad considering our right wing options.

Incognito
I agree though a 3 month deal wouldn't be too bad would it?

Cajun
Beckham is a bit different to the other overpaid wankers we had though.

Disco
Beckham would turn us into a circus again and he's fucking past it. Much prefer to see the club signing hungry young players. Probably would bring a bit of money into the club though if he did join (which he won't)

Totally agree with you. That said Ashley could wipe out a fair wedge his debt with a 3 month loan deal getting his tatty wares on the back of thousands of Beckham loving nutters.
