Delighted to have them on board so quickly and without fuss. Good luck to both of them.

"Delighted" is not the first word to spring to mind.

Glad it's been done quickly as that is important.

Quickly?!?! Fucking hell!!! Calderwood left on the 18th October, the scum at the top would not sanction any number 2 CH wanted as they were hovering to bullet him as soon as a few results went tits up but good results agaisnt the Scum, Arsenal & Chelsea delayed the spineless spackas at the top giving CH the bullet earlier.

Meant quickly after Pardew's appointment dull lad, surely even you could figure that out.

So what you on about quick for then? As most new managers have a number 2 joining them within days of them taking over. A OAP like you should knows this ffs.

Was Alan Murray Souness's assistant? Hated everything about him.

Don't you mean Dean Saunders?

No he had another assistant a clown... I think this Ray Lewington guy seems very experienced.... I am surprised how they didn't hire him as manager instead of AP.

Cockney Mafia...

pity Rob Lee is not thought about as a coach here....used to be former team mates with Pardew at Charlton too.

Rob Lee would be an inspired choice actually, obviously it wouldn't get Ashley out of the hole but it would give the fans a little more reason to back the management.

I could have sworn there was a post here a minute ago about Lewington rejecting the post?! Im I going f***ing crazy?

Have read that it is not likely to be him.

Wally Downes and Chris Powell are both mentioned today.
