If Ireland signs and gets back to his 2007-9 form. Our midfield of

Barton

Ben Arfa

Tiote

Nolan

Jonas

Gosling

has got to be the strongest midfield we have had post Sir Bob

I reckon so. Still think we lack a genuine wide man for the right, but if we aren't going to use one then I guess it doesn't matter that much.

My mate seen him looking at houses in Forest Hal

Good to hear, but you'd think a little presumptuous.

Well, considering the players we have and the ones coming back from injury as well, I wonder what sort of contract we'd give him if he did stay? Doubt it would be close to the one he has at the moment.

Yeah, as good as Matty Pattison was... you know.

He was nee Alan O'Brien.

He's fast. He must be good.

He's fast. He's like Damien Duff. HE MUST BE GOOD.

Well.. he's fast.

Back in training on Monday according to Pardew.

Will need him now with Raylor out for 3 games and Barton probably out for a week or two.

But the good thing for us is that we have 2 weeks off after the Everton match, so hopefully Barton will be back against Stoke.

Came across as really needy in the interview he gave to the Match Day Program today.

As I believe I've mentioned on here before, he's absolutely fucking hatstand.

Good luck, but you'll be sending him back to us at the end of the season, saying "what the fuck was that about?"

He doesn't even have to prove it in a match, although that would please the fans. If he proves it on the training pitch to Carver and Pards that may be enough.

Would love him to re-capture his form, fantastic technically.
