We "stole" Dan Gosling from Everton last summer. Can we steal another player? This time from Manchester City.

John Guidetti

As a Swede I have knowledge about this guy and he is highly rated, both in Sweden and in Manchester City. He is a striker, 185 cm tall and has an eye for goal. His personality is a bit special, I have written about him before on this forum... He has one focus: Football. His father is his private fitness coach and he often do a lot of training on his own after his training with the club.

The thing is his contract runs out this summer and he says he hasn't agreed a new deal with City yet, but they want him to stay. He is open to discuss with other clubs if the terms City offer is not good enough. He thinks he is ready  to fight for a first team place but is worried about the depth of strikers in the squad.

I wouldn't mind him here!

He scored 3 goals against Stockport. His second goal was a beauty.

Is he injured and/or a perma cripple? If not we won't ;).

Would Gervinho give up Champions League football to join you?

He once said "Newcastle are a good team" when asked about it  :snod:

And his body language gave a few hints away. He seemed to be saying "Fuck the champions league, I fucking love Newcastle" in sign language. Read into that what you will.

and if there is something you can trust us on, it's our extensive knowledge of body language

I am petrified we are going to buy Carlton Cole. Think its a strong possibility too.

I can't see it, doesn't fit any sort of target we have gone for before.

He is going to be well over priced and that's not exactly Ashley's known market is it?

Our past dealings give us a pretty good yardstick for assuming what players are coming in next season.

1. Foreign unknowns

2. Players from lower divisions

3. Players on a free/with contract loopholes that we can get cheaply

Overpriced, English, average Premiership players like Carleton Cole is exactly who we won't buy.

We need to do a hell of alot of dealing in the summer, new strike force, wingers, plus replacement for any players that get drawn by the bright lights like Jose.

Another dead ball specialist please. Barton on his off day is a pain to watch, and no other regular first teamer can take the set pieces.

Ben Arfa  :snod:

Does he take a mean free kick or corner though? I have only seen him in the limited appearances for us and didn't follow him playing in France. Fair play if he does.

From the teams likely to be relegated. Ba, N'zogbia and DJ Campbell would improve us significantly

Obinna on a free might be a useful signing. Moses on the cheap is another option for a back up wideman.

Da Costa is a another one that might be worth a little look if the price was right. Quick, strong, excellent in the air. Prone to errors but I think Colo would guide him pretty well.

Diame or Thomas from Wigan would be decent back up for Tiote. As would Vaughan on a free.

I fancy Wolves to go down ahead of one of those three teams though.

As well as Campbell has done he is 30 this year, would give him a miss.

Get away. Absolute car crash of a player. The management would want their heads examining if we sign any form of defensive player from WHU.

I like Milijas from Wolves too but he wouldn't really work in 4 in midfield.

He'd be a good option off the bench. We don't have anyone of that ilk.
