Dave
Did some good, did some bad. Enjoy retirement, no hard feelings. This pretty much Agreed. Hopefully it's further good news in terms of Benitez taking full charge of operations. No need for a scout to have as much power as he did, another stupid 'I know better than anyone else' decision by Ashley on the back of a couple of successful money-making transfers. geordiedean
About time, although I will always be grateful for Yohann Cabaye & arguably the most naturally gifted footballer Newcastle United ever had Hatem Ben Arfa (come home Hatem). absolute fucking nonsense Ben arfa was not that at all. didn't have anywhere near the talent of Tino,Ginola,Solano,Peter Beardsley, gazza or even Laurent Robert give your head a shake
triggs
Glad he's gone to give Rafa full control. We did bring in some right flops under Carr but Ive got to believe these players were way down the list. Let's not forget players like Gameiro, Lacazette and Aubameyang were at the top of his list. Unfortunately Ashley always does things on the cheap That's a good point tbf
number9shirt
Hence the use of the word arguably.

WarrenBartonCentrePartin
Can't wait for 27 incoming Chronicle articles. Rundown* on every single one of his signings. *One sentence, in which they fail to state whether it was good or bad. http://www.chroniclelive.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/newcastle-united-recruitment-under-graham-11100770 That's egg and my face firmly in alignment. I'm with geordiedean on this one. "Talent" isn't just about technique. I don't get the Ben Arfa obsession. I loved seeing him play, as I've loved many players at this club. Good players come and go. BlackandWhite
I thought we got rid of this old cunt last year . Got a reputation for a few good signings in 2011, but let's be honest the vast majority of signings after that miracle season were absolute garbage. Odear
He wasn't a bad sort. Perhaps some dodgy judgement at times, but how much of that would have been influenced by Ashley. He was however a mouthpiece for the regime in some truly awful times and never made a fuss when having to work with the likes of Pardew. So basically at worst he's a spineless scout with questionable judgement. Never got caught in brothels or fiddled with children either, that's a plus. And did bring in one or two decent players. Wish him the best.

1964
Even according to his own sons autobiography, he's a bit of a Kernt. Have you read Alan Carr's autobiography? Rumours are he's been signed by Sunderland, he assumed in a scouting capacity only to be told he is playing up front
toontownman
Did some good, did some bad. Enjoy retirement, no hard feelings.
