I thought he was too but someone mentioned him signing for West Ham for something like £7m and I smugly went off to point this out to be wrong only to find out it was true 3 year deal. Optimistic Nut Posted May 15, 2011 Share Posted May 15, 2011 Even if worst case scenario we got M'Bengue this summer and agreed to let Enrique go for nowt at the end of next season, it gives him a year to get used to the club, league, etc without the pressure of being first-choice immediately. Keeping Enrique is important, but it's just as important to replace him with someone equally good if he's going to be sold. We can't afford losing the "core" of the squad. We need to add to what we got. Ashley got £35 millions for Carroll, let's see what he does.I'll come back and judge him when the transfer window shuts.
