Newcastle Fan
Lukaku played on the left wing yesterday when they brought on Long and looked good, put in a few nice crosses
Dave
I've heard that Romelu Lukaku is a decent striker. Wonder how much he would cost Chelsea? Again though we are playing a 4-2-3-1 at the moment and seems the best fit for the majority of the team from an attacking point of view. How would buying another CF who can't operate in either flank make any sense? What?
garth
Don't really care if he's leaving. While he wears the Toon top he's still our player and should not be booed.
Wilson
No point whatsoever giving him stick, regardless of his motivations he's always done his best by us on the pitch, not an ideal situation but fuck it, i'm happy for him to grab a goal before he fucks off for his payday. lovejoy
my view remains the same, commit or leave, and do either one asap. The latter looks far more likely so please go, quickly.

Ketsbaia
Play Ba, but shove him onto the wing - Cisse is our main striker now (and - keep it quiet - this worked really well last season).

Lush Vlad
Trying to flush out interest so we can complete the Debuchy deal? One out, one in and all that? Probably just being massively paranoid, but it wouldn't surprise me. This will also sound ridiculous, but I am at the point where I want him to go quickly and I don't want him to sign another contract. Not that there is any chance of that any way. He's greedy on the pitch (and apparently off it), we've pushed Cisse out wide to accomodate him, despite him clearly not being any good there and the circus that follows him round with all his fake agents, entourage and release clause is tedious as fuck. Good player and I'll be sad to see him go, but I'd rather get it all out the way and hope that we sign a decent replacement.....

Mole_Toonfan
If Ben Arfa was fit i think we might risk it, but i can't see Pardew dropping him. What's the best front 3 we could muster at the moment? Marveaux-Cisse-Obertan? can't see it myself.
Dokko
All about the money, he can try and hide behind agents to mask his intentions but its pretty easy to see what his priority is. If qpr offered more he'd be playing for them for the rest of the season at least.
Hanshithispantz
I imagine Pardew will ask Ba if he's head's right and Ba will say aye and that he wants to play. The only other option in Pardew's mind will be Cisse right wing, Obertan left, and Shola Ameobi through the centre. If that happens I'll whitey. mattypnufc
Did anyone ever see that documentary he did during the ACON last year? Basically his 'agent' was interviewed and stated that this is just a 'step' in his career plan and that the next step will be something bigger for Demba. It's always been his plan to move on. Fair play. Thanks for the goals. If he doesn't want to be here now, he can kindly fuck off.

Guest icemanblue
Even if it is all about the money, should he really be hated for it? He's got, what is reported to be, a massively unstable knee injury. If I was in his position, I'd want to be maximising my earnings before my career came to an unexpected and premature end. Skirge
IF Pardew plays him tonight giving him grief is pointless, we need his A game even if its a farewell performance we need him.

Yeah me as well and i'm not too bothered about it all tbh, he wants to go to Chelsea? so be it just make sure we replace him and move on. Newcastle United Football Club was here long before Demba and we be here long after Demba..... Thanks for the goals big man.
Wilson
Other day I wanted him dropped or put out wide, now I hope he does play, need every player available at the minute as it is, especially our top scorer although i'll still be a bit annoyed if Cisse doesn't start in the middle

It's a no-brainer for him, I'm afraid. He has no emotional tie to the club or area, and he certainly doesn't owe us a thing.
