Quite depressing that it doesn't take much of a stretch of the imagination to think we could have had a front two of Ba and Remy at one point, in the same side as HBA and maybe even a properly managed Cabella.

I rate Ba and i think he did very very well, but sometimes his first touch in general play was frustrating as fuck (hit and miss at times). That's the only negative thing i can say really.

I never really got attached to Ba because of his general mercenary approach to the game. Good player though.

When you don't have any ambition 90% of footballers will seem like mercenaries to you. I respect the likes of Cabaye, Ba & Debuchy way more than a Krul. Krul - if he pushed himself would be a better goalkeeper and probably wouldn't play for us. Would also get a proper haircut.

I think Ba was actually a better all round player. He could do the target man role better, and he seemed to find loads of ways of scoring goals. That volley from the long ball against Man U for example.

I might actually agree he's a better all round forward but he's not a better all round player, Remy has supreme pace, better technique and better dribbler.

 

Not that it matters, I'd kill to have either back.

Remy has more pace, but better technique? I don't see it. His touch was quite clumsy at times, and Ba was better in the air. But it's just quibbling I agree, I'd have either back as well.
