themanupstairs
Get well soon syrup man. Horrific injury but should be alright long term if it's a clean break?

Conjo
It sort of puts it a bit into perspective as well why a lot of players chase the quick money, changing clubs etc. Short career, and could end even faster.

M4
but should be alright long term if it's a clean break? What I was thinking. Rehab will take a while, but in the modern game it seems most players make it back from those clean snap injuries. The parallel is always made with Djibril Cisse and whilst his shins seemed like they were made of glass, his recovery time on both occasions was very impressive. Odear
Aye, think i'll give that one a miss. He did well for us over that season until Cisse arrived

Nattfare
Hurts just looking at the incident, knots in the stomach kind of thing. I hope it's not career ending, but things probably won't be the same for him as a player again if he recovers.

Wullie
Mercenary or not, you could never once accuse Ba of going through the motions, unlike plenty of others. He was brilliant for us right up to the end, when he got a brace in his last game.

He was brilliant for us right up to the end, when he got a brace in his last game. He had a couple of awful patches tbf. Particularly when he first signed and also during Cisse's first 6 months. Was mostly good, though.

Maybe awful is an overstatement but he was the player I had the least faith in producing something in the final third during that time. He always seemed to play for himself which has never really sat right with me, and as a result I've never really had any attachment to him.
mrmojorisin75
We'd probably think differently of Ba had it not been Pardew doing his best to make the sale as well. Agree with what Wullie said fwiw
