TRon
Wasn't Amalfitano always one for the future? He's not a kid like. I think he's about 22 so if he was good enough he'd be at least getting some EL time. the line from the club and french journos was that it would take him at least a season to be ready to fight for a place in the first team squad. How fit do you need to be to take a place on the bench?

Newcastle Fan
I really like the look of him, still nowhere near a 100% imo but makes it such a difference having a player that can play with the ball at his feet and more importantly can cross rather than Jonas. Tiresias
Terrible first half, approaching good second half.
Parky
Good to see him get a full 90m.
Unlucky Luque
Much better on the wing
ExiledGeordie
Very rusty but I suppose its to be expected. Clearly has the technical skills just needs the consistency to get to the level he was at before he got injured last time.
Ketsbaia
I still like the guy, just don't ask him to mark Leighton Baines.
Mick
Terrible first half, approaching good second half. He wasn't terrible in the first half, he should have scored when he totally missed the ball but other than that he did nothing wrong.
RodneyCisse
Did a good job apart from the miss.
Ronaldo
Terrible first half, approaching good second half. He wasn't terrible in the first half, he should have scored when he totally missed the ball but other than that he did nothing wrong. Or significantly right. Bit of a problem when your job is to make things happen.
STM
This season he has looked way off the pace. The glimpses of last season encouraged me more. Needs time and games, not sure he will get it.

Tiresias
One half awful, one half showing some stuff but no work-rate, decent technical player but also a luxury.
STM
Yeah fuck him he's shit. Sell please.
Mick
Or significantly right. Bit of a problem when your job is to make things happen. He's virtually missed two of the last 3 seasons through injury, he's going to need time to get up to speed.
Guest Dontooner
Good player if and when the team decides to go all out offensive.
Cronky
Lovely skills, but too easily bullied off the ball. He reminds me a bit of Modric in his style. However, whereas Modric is able to overcome his physical limitations, Marveaux doesn't.
Dinho lad
He reminds me of Will Smith in Six Degrees of Separation.
Guest icemanblue
Other than a poor first 15-20 mins, I thought he had a good game. Always looking forward, not afraid to shoot, and some decent deliveries from set pieces. He was still chasing and closing down in the last five minutes, too. durhamunigeordie
Hopefully will at least start the next 2 Europa games to give him a chance of at least getting some match fitness. He's made a handful of appearances in a year, not prepared to write him off yet, particularly as he was very bright in the second half at Goodison in May. Seems a bit light and slow for he PL atm, hopefully he can get more adjusted, love his left foot and agility.
