I exaggerated, mate. What I meant by it, which you probably know, was that questions over his ability raised on the back of this game, or his recent form, are a bit reactionary and hysterical. Easier to type a glib, elitist quip.

Well that's why I thought it was ironic.

FWIW I agree with you. He was fine today, but the winning goal was a shocker both he and Taylor should be ashamed of. If Williamson was involved in something like that there would be murders.

Agree with last paragraph.

Don't be so hard on yourself, Michael. We all make mistakes. Not nearly as many as you, of course, but that's not the point.

Well having seen Spurs goals again I think he is clearly at fault for the first. By fault I mean he gives away the free kick. He allows Depmsey(?) to get the run on him and he consolidates that with a professional foul. Normally not a great problem but there was actually no need for him to do it as Santon was covering.

The second goal, well he's slow to react to the bouncing ball. Taylor does absolutely nothing against Adebayor which for me where this goal comes from. Colo is slow to react but once Bale beats him to the ball he can only commit a horrible foul on bale to stop him running through.

For me its a combination of Taylor being very slack on Ade, and perch not tracking Bale's run from deep that undid us for their second. Perch was also the player who should have fouled Bale (pulled him back) when he was motoring through.

He was dogshit today.

He wasn't fucking dogshit, dogshit is Williamson hoofing it all day long.

Not going to argue about levels of shitness, he was some kind of shit. You pick an animal. Horse?

Having seen it again, I think it's more Taylor's fault. He should win that ball every time, Coloccini's mistake was expecting him to do so and leaving himself on the back foot against Bale.

having seen it again (and again and again) taylor could have done better but as last man, colo was flat footed and slow to react. most of the blame goes to colo here.

Adebayor gives our lads nightmares. He's stronger and faster than all of them with a great touch so you can't get tight.

Such horse meat shit tbh
