TRon
Always liked him tbh. He's exactly what we are missing now, a genuine defender who reads the game perfectly and can tackle ferociously when needed. Could ping a decent pass as well. I'm sure that overhead kick went straight to one of their players about 20yds out in a much better position than conceding the throw would've been. Think we scored within 30 seconds of it, Cisse cracker.

Went to their player, we win a free kick out of a tussle, long free kick that Cisse scores from. I didn't remember us scoring mind. joeyt
Loved him, at his peak he was our best defender since Woodgate. Ended a bit sourly but absolutely loved him
Pilko
Was fantastic for a few years and a proper Rolls Royce defender, but like many others from the Ashley era, we held onto him for too long and should have got rid a year or two before we eventually did. His last game when we got done 5-1 at Stamford Bridge he looked absolutely finished. Mind, that said, McClaren allegedly wanted to get rid and sign Richard fucking Keogh to replace him so it would have been worse had the club not insisted we keep him
Chapo
Good defender, great letter writer.
joeyt
Class when he gave Jonas the captains armband when he came back from cancer
triggs
Class and classy player in his prime. Had a bit of a renaissance and some great performances towards the end of his time too IIRC
Guybrush
Best CB we've had in a while, so of course there was that time we played him in centre midfield Wish we had someone of his talent at centre back right now!
The Butcher
Loved his nasty streak. He was a right dirty bastard. Would never get away with it these days. Best CB I've seen at the club.
STM
2nd behind woodgate. Eddie would have loved Colo.

Unbelievable
I don't have the same fond memories most others appear to, but I will gladly join in wishing him a great retirement.
JB
Brilliant player, especially in the 11-12 season. One of the best I've seen play for us.
toontownman
One of my all time favourites. His dodgy streak towards the end never tarnished the class act he was on and off the pitch. Hope to see him back at SJP next year.

There were plenty who absolutely detested him on here, especially in his first season so you aren't alone.
Doctor Zaius
Shite his first season. Had we stayed up we'd have probably got rid of him. Utterly class then onwards, aside from his last perhaps. Too young to really remember Woodgate, so he's the best centre half I've seen for us. The current lot don't come close like. Think he'd be even better now.
Dokko
Some rewriting of history going on here. He was bar 2 (3 at a push) seasons utter dogshit for us and an even worse captain. I wish him all the best in retirement but for me won’t be remembered as a class act more someone who was a liability, dirty, inconsistent and had no leadership skills at all. Shays Given Tim Flowers
He had a header from outside the box that hit the bar.

Super Duper Branko Strupar
Fucking hero. I regret the way it ended. I'd love to see him back with Jonas to get a better send off.
Collage
He was fucking brilliant at his best, loved him. 11-12 season must have been his peak, was in the PL team of the season if I remember correctly.
