Sifu
Fair play to him today really. Decent at times but still needs to sort out his decision making.
ExiledGeordie
Did alright, needs to just make decisions faster and he could be really effective with his pace. There was one point where Cisse knocked it out wide for him and it was crying out for him to really take the left back on or just whip a cross in. Think he'll play against Spurs though, his pace with the pace of the front two could be really effective at Spurs and we'll need his pace v Bale. ATB
Great to have him in the squad. Has some great attributes that really non other player in our squad has. For me he is the perfect sub-player
Newcastle Fan
He did well today, some great touches here and there and good runs.
Shak
Fair play to him like. He's lowered expectations to the point where that is considered encouraging.
Disco
Far improved workrate today. Encouraging to see.
henke
I thought he was fairly crap, tbh. And every time he shits out of a challenge i want to punch the telly.
David Icke - Son of God
He seemed to be more willing to run at his man today than he has been in the past, however there were still a few moments where he made the wrong decision. For example there was a moment early in the second half where Cisse was bursting through the middle in acres of space, he was more or less one on one with Given, and Obertan just had to play a relatively simple pass to him. Instead he tried to go it alone.
Dokko
If we get that kind of performance every time he plays then he'll be a good signing. He's shown he can do it, just needs to keep doing it. Bad news for HBA fans.
Geordie Ahmed
I thought he did all right, his final ball is poor and his passing can be loose BUT he was lively, made some good runs and was a threat It wasn't an amazing performance BUT compared to the usual shite he delivers it was canny
Guest BlacknWhiteArmy
Useful display. But I really don't think he looks like a winger at all, he just never seems to have the right body shape or intentions. Not sure what position or system fits him best- I think the left might even work better for him.
Smal
Thought he was a bit shit, tbh . If we'd have lost he'd be getting stick, like.

Penn
If Ben Arfa put in that performance he'd be getting slated man.
Mick
I thought that he started off well, I think it was him who lost it then he chased from just inside our half on the left to win it back on the right. He boiled my piss a couple of times, once when he was running towards the Gallowgate and looked like he had the beating of his man only for him to start doing step overs and then he hit it against the Villa player. Also, one time he was defending just outside the box, he went to clear it and the ball went backwards as he totally ballsed up his clearance. I don't think he's got a football brain at all but at least he put in some effort for a change.

David Icke - Son of God
If Ben Arfa put in that performance he'd be getting slated man. Aye, but that's only because half of the posters on here think HBA should be a combination of Messi and Cronaldo.
MW
he just has absolutely no idea how to beat a player. he run slowly towards them, stops for a bit, and gets tackle. no imagination whatsoever

Benwell Lad
Contributed to the victory and did some decent stuff yesterday, but a lack of confidence seems to put him in two minds about what to do on occasions and he freezes. He will have to overcome that if he wants to succeed at this level although two decent contributions in two games can't have done him any harm. Geordie Ahmed
I wish he would just put in an early cross, instead he takes about 5 touches and allows the defenders to position themselves
quayside
Useful display. But I really don't think he looks like a winger at all, he just never seems to have the right body shape or intentions. Not sure what position or system fits him best- I think the left might even work better for him. I have very similar thoughts about him. There is a footballer in there somewhere but, like you, I am not sure he is a winger. He doesn't seem to have the instincts of a winger, perhaps he is waiting for Pardew to turn him him from a moderate winger into a striker - as in the conversion of Thierry Henry
Dr Venkman
At one point he was one on one against Dunne on the edge of their box. All he had to do was drop a shoulder and he's in on goal, he hasn't even got that in his locker. He was better yesterday than he usually is but he still slowed down attacks and let defenders get into position. We can't have two wide players who do this consistently and expect to do well. Lotus
He did better than previously. Some good play and some wasted. Hope he continues to improve.
