Dave
Not seen today, but he's looked really good in the games I've seen him so far. Promising stuff!
ponsaelius
He paradoxically looks far more at home here than he ever did last couple of seasons in Italy. Pace and style of the football suits him far more than Serie A, imo.
Sifu
Looking better by the game really. Was brilliant today.
Ishmael
tbqh, I still cannot 100% comprehend that a player of such talent and pedigree, who has performed for one of the best teams in Europe, is now our Left back. Santon
alexf
Two 90 min run outs in a row. Good news in regard the knee that seemed like it could handle that in his first few games.
Guest Howaythetoon
Never a left-back but I like the look of him and it says a lot about his ability on the ball that even at left-back he still looked quite comfortable. Love how willing he is to get forward.
9
He's really only 20? Never looked into it but presumed he was mid 20s
nufc4eva
Thought he was absolute quality today, so comfortable and quick on ball
morpeth mag
Going to be a great right back next season
TRon
Going to be a great right back next season Not sure about that, supposedly Simpson is close to signing a new deal.
nufc4eva
Looks good enough left back to me like, although much better than Simpson could dream of being from what I Have seen so far, comfortable on ball, pace, good anticipation, seems to read the game well and very composed. Not bad for 5 million
joeyt
Bloke sitting near me was constantly shouting at him to use his left foot and shouting at Pardew for not buying a left back with a left foot. If I was closer to him I'd tell him about the likes of Lahm and Zanetti

If I was closer to him I'd tell him about the likes of Lahm and Zanetti He'd have hated Paolo Maldini then.
Ronaldo
Except Maldini's left foot was superb. Anyway, what a tool. Should have thrown hot Bovril over him.
James
I do think in the long term though we should improve by looking to have a left footer on the left instead of two right footed players.

AyeDubbleYoo
Dav-i-day would be right I suppose, with Italians pronouncing those final letters.
