Not as bad as the second half against wolves but that's as bad we've played in a half of football at home this season. Need a major improvement to get the win we really should be expecting from this.

Martinez has dicked Pardew here.

Incorrect

Pardew was never going to change the side

However, second half i expect Best off for HBA

s*** half, knew it was guna happen.

Hope it's one of those games where we play shit but grind out a result, especially as i'm not looking forward to a Monday night game against Stoke.

midfield struggling in this one, they are passing it around middle too easily. Raylor is getting skinned every time he leaves his attacker space, they seem to have loads of time to get their crosses/shots/whatever in . Wwe need to be pressing faster and more. I would have Ba off aswell, leave best forward (good at holding up ball) and get benarfa in midfield aswell to ehlp out and to forma attacks. Obertan is playing ok, would change a little later if nothing happens...

Really poor first half. As usual, we come out of the blocks as fast as Matty Pattison.

Cabaye and Obertan have been anonymous. Raylor has been a liability and Martinez has clearly just told his players to target him. This has meant Jonas has had to drop back way too far and pick up possession with his back to goal.

Wigan time-wasting from the off, too.

Frustrating as fuck. Was that Pardew's attempt to bring back the crowds to SJP... ???

That was dire. Taylor is the weak link; most of their attacks have come down our left. We haven't created much, wasted a lot of possession and haven't defended well, giving them lots of time and space in front of our area and letting them get in behind us more than a few times.

It just shows you the difference that Krul is making to the side. Last season, we'd be 1-0 down and under a lot of pressure.

Wigan look dangerous on the break, but not in other situations.

We still look the more likely to score, but may need to add a bit of unpredictability with Benny or Marv in the last 20 minutes.

Best and Ba have been outmuscled by their defenders so far, Cabayes been Marked out of it, Obertan is running again and not delivering much. Tiote/Guti are the only ones to have been dictating anything close to positive play. Needa sort it.
