It fucking pisses me right off that this happened because he was playing in a completely pointless match.

Have to say I love the odd person in the past few pages slagging Pardew/NUFC off for rushing him back. They're probably the same people who were going ballistic every week he wasn't in the squad.

Fingers crossed he's healthy again soon!

We were told he was in fantastic condition when he came back and repeatedly told how close he is to playing. Shoot the messenger (pls).

You keep saying this but you are ignoring the fact there is a disproportionate rate of recurrence with hamstring injuries so there is every likelyhood he has come back, looked fine and its gone again or at least he is feeling it and we won't want to risk him.

You make it sound like we were guaranteed he would go straight back in the side and never be injured again.

I got battered for saying we shouldn't play Hatty in that "meaningless" game  :(

The game he set up our goal which meant we're still in the EL?  We wouldn't even be worrying about him vs Anzhi if he hadn't played.

You've read the post I was responding to? People are getting criticised for wanting to see Hatty back in the squad when we were being told he's fit and close to being ready (against Swansea).  Like I said, shoot the messenger.

We'd have gone through even if we lost to them.

What annoys me most about this is pardews bullshit answers in regards to his injury. "We're trying to finalise his hamstring injury" what the fuck is that? Just nothing words. If it was a little setback he wouldn't be seeing a specialist.

He won't be anywhere near the Wigan game.

Pardew is not good at this speaking business.

From today: 'them a few different questions like we did at Stoke [who they beat 2-1 on Sunday] and hopefully come up with our own answers rather than them coming up with defensive answers.'

I've stopped looking forward to him getting back tbh because it's so frustrating. Have the mentality now that any pitch time we see from him for the rest of the season will be a bonus.

One tiny silver lining - the constant injury niggles might be enough to dissuade one of the ridiculous billionaires from coming in with a daft bid.

Spot on that's exactly how I see it. Any appearance is a bonus really so I'm not getting worked up about it. He'll be back when he's back so to speak, no point stressing about it or wondering what we might be able to do with him in the side.

You're confident that the way we were playing in autumn/winter that we'd have got a result in Bordeaux even with a strong XI?
