NUFC transfer rumours in the press

Recommended Posts

Georginio Wijnaldum is quality. Wouldn't mind seeing here next season. Would probably prefer him over Bony as he's more versatile.

Interesting, we seem to be linked with a lot of attacking midfielders i wonder if we are trying to go the Chelsea route with 3 AMs behind the striker and the fullbacks providing width.

A crap Spanish site, quoting a s*** Italian website, with a rumour about a Norwegian club's player. Can't not be true.

16 year old Djurgarden kid linked with us and City.

Found an interview with him from last week. Says he's been training with us several times but also been to Man City.

Came over to play with our U16s, then our U18s and a game with the reserves.

On the subject of joining us on a youth contract:

- Was open to it after being very highly thought of by our coaches. They invited him for a third time two years ago (when he was 14), but the club informed him that we are no longer going to sign players under the age of 16. Only going for locals if they're not over 16.

He now has a contract with Djurgården for 2 years.

Disappointing lack of rumours/facts about Ferguson and Sammy, both should have been out the door last month on loan and yet both are still here offer absolutely fuck all and not getting experience under their belts. I know they're not world beaters but surely there is someone we can farm them out to. They're not injured are they?

Sky Sports understand a host of clubs are chasing Harrogate Town goalkeeper Craig MacGillivray, who has been described as 'the next Joe Hart'.

The 20-year-old goalkeeper, who was with Leeds United as a youngster, gave up full-time football to concentrate on his studies.

With those now complete, MacGillivray is now earning regular plaudits between the sticks for Conference North side Harrogate.

Clubs from the Premier League down to League Two are taking a close look at the impressive youngster.

Newcastle United, Wolves and Doncaster Rovers are among the clubs understood to have checked on his progress in recent weeks.

Harrogate Town youth development officer Garry Plant told Sky Sports that they had not yet received any official offers.

"We have not had a formal approach from any club," Plant told Sky Sports.

"We have obviously heard about clubs watching him and being interested but we have heard nothing officially."

Plant admitted that he believes Harrogate do have a star of the future in their hands.

"He is very, very good," Plant said. "I think he is the next Joe Hart."

He's been brilliant this season, but can't say hes up to prem standard. He's a great shot stopper, but struggles from crosses. Definitely too good for our league mind.

NUFC transfer target Douglas will most probably join Inter Milan according to his agent speaking to Voetbal International. Apparently Anzi wanted him to replace Samba this month, but Inter has indicated they want Douglas after his contract expires and they have decided to wait for that.
