To think that people are slaughtering Ba for wanting to play up front in one thread and in this one saying they'd accept Cisse putting in a transfer request on the back of one match out of position in exceptional circumstances. Mental.

Cisse's a good guy, and is willing to play anywhere for the team. He won't wet his knickers like some on here would clearly advocate.

totally right, i would also guess as you've said earlier that we've practised that way all week that he's also been told it's the last time he'll have to do it.

Looked very sharp in the penalty area, and could have had a hat-trick tonight despite spending most of the 90 mins desperately fouling Everton players on the right wing. I hope those who were giving him uncalled for stick will see that now.

Well at least that's the last we'll see of him on the wing. Hope we stick to the 4-3-3 though.

Same but we need to cut out the hoof and defensive mentality that goes with it.

All goes hand in hand tbh and its my biggest worry, buying players and having fit stars again is fine and dandy but whats the point if Pardew keeps using these abject tactics.

 I'm confused now. Rich just said in the other thread it's Shola up top and Cisse right, contradicting what's been said in here. Which is it?

People should know who to listen to by now.

Great game tonight in my opinion that was hindered by the horrendous position he was put in. The few times he wandered out of position he was the Cisse of old. I really don't see how Pards doesn't get CISSE=MIDDLE. He must be blind not to see that

I hope we never ever see him start on the right hand side ever again.

He should never have played there at all ever really. Criminal to waste his poaching ability.

poaching is a micky quinn thing, his movement creates it but right he should always have been there.

Knowing our luck, him going back in the middle will coincide with a resumption of hoofball or hopeful (hopeless?) crosses from deep by Jonas.

Anyroad, here's hoping we can let him show us what he can do. I might even go as far as cautious optimism.

fwiw, I would say Chicharito is a poacher, a converter of clear chances. Last season, Cisse scored far too many barely half chances in a van-Persie-on-steroids manner to be a simple poacher. Conversely he hasn't impressed in one-on-ones.

Have to say, even though it was painful watching him trying to tackle players virtually at right back, he made a good go of it. He even got up the pitch to get into scoring positions despite running up and down that right flank.
