Say we don't get him, and Coloccini takes a long-term injury (God forbid). Then Perch is in there for long-term. The loss of points associated with that will result in lower league places, which means we'll get less revenue and it'll probably cost us more than the £700k in the first place. Would like to think we'd be prepared to match that and get him in. £700k increase, hardly breaking the bank for defensive cover which is essential if we're going to push for Europe.
