colinmk
What needs to happen is genuine stringent control over who owns a football club, and strong fan involvement in the running of all clubs. Until that happens shit like this can happen. Rangers were cheating for years, and it would only be unfair if another club were treated differently. Would any other club have all that effort taken to bring them straight back into the top or second league? It is also a sign that Rangers were essentially cheating to compete in the 2 club league that the SPL was. This was deeply unhealthy and this was a symptom of that, a healthy league is a competitive one, something that was lost when the whole league was organised to maximise revenue for Rangers and Celtic. Says a lot about the shiteness of the people running the club that they were cheating massively the whole time and Celtic still won more trophies. Totally agree with what you are saying btw, fans have to be properly involved in the running of the clubs.
J7
Berwick Rangers v Rangers moved to the Sunday 26th August at 12. On ESPN. For anyone interested.
Scottish Mag
134 million pound of debt written off yet in the 3rd Division in Scotland where you play against part timers and they are signing the likes of Sandaza on a reported 5k a week, Ian Black on a reported on 7k. St Johnstone a club that is trying to run within its means couldn't afford to sign him and Hearts who are still owed £600,000 for Lee Wallace, who is still playing for "The" Rangers, couldn't afford to give Black another contract. I feel sorry for the fans in all of this but for the club to be able to just become a newco and write off all that debt, whilst also still wanting to claim rights to the trophies won by the oldco, is absolutely ridiculous. ponsaelius
I don't understand why they need to sign people like Black and Sandaza. They could have the pick of all the part-timers from Div 1 and Div 2 and stroll that division regardless.

Stifler
Only managed a 2-2 draw today with a last minute goal. And they said they were going to win every game.
bowlingcrofty
BBC reckon Ashley getting 10% of Rangers means they can loan up to 9 NUFC players by next week and also we'll play them in a friendly.

Fenham Mag
It sort of like this, your Dad having a new step kid who is a little cunt but gets a portion of Daddy's money and you miss out on some, meanwhile they piss you off to a great measure as they are getting a lot of attention and you are suffering because of the diversion of attention. Please Daddy (Mike), get this silly idea out of your head and just concentrate on NUFC on the football front.
Cajun
Not sure how to take the Rangers thing tbh. I don't think he will concentrate his attention on them but I do think he will want to get them back up to the SPL asap to get a quick return which could mean we lend them some of our fringe players. I can't imagine it will be as financially rewarding as us getting a high league position though so he isn't going to harm us to help them.

Dave
Couldn't give a shit tbh. He's a chancer, that's all. Seen a cheap opportunity to get his finger in yet another pie. He's not going to be attending third division Scottish matches, and even if he was it wouldn't affect us.
ponsaelius
Won't benefit us in the slightest. Only our shittest youngsters will have any interest in the loans. They'll probably just end up back in that league instead of the Northern League once they get released.

HawK
I doubt very much that the Scottish 3rd Division can provide any beneficial experience to any of our Club apart from the U14s.
Stifler
Apparently Rangers club store which is run in conjunction with JJB is set to change to a Sports Direct store on Monday. Also theirs rumours going about that a new Rangers shirt is being released, they aren't sure if it the end of the Tennant's deal and Sports Direct taking over or if it's a change of shirt makers or even both. The shirt is now reduced to £25 for an adults shirt despite it only being released in May.
