been invited to go and stay with another yank lass in Charleston, SC in the Autumn too.

:megusta:

:undecided: No-one ever wants to come to Pennsylvania. South Carolina doesn't have anything PA doesn't have like. ish.

 yeah the miles of beaches and seemingly infinite number of highly rated golf courses, plus good southern BBQ, has nothing on Mechanicsburg and Scranton.

I actually didn't realize you were in PA, Dan. Where are you?

taking an American mate along for this.  She's been studying in Madrid for the past 3 months, so shes kind of been getting into football a bit, watching Real quite often.  Tried to explain the significance of this game and told her that I may go absolutely mental.  She thinks shes grasped it, but I don't think she has.

:naughty: Keep a it she'll cave eventually. The post-colonial slut.

...sorry

The only way to win on Sunday is all out attack a la "keegan"... If we try a more moderated approach I reckon we will get stuffed.

My team would be:

---------------Krul---------------

Simpson--Willo--Perchinho----Santon

Ben Arfa---Tiote---Cabaye---Jonas

---------Ba---Cisse-----------

If Perch plays as well as his form lately we'll be alright! I think Willo is actually coming into a bit of form, he looked good against WBA until the mix up with Krul...

hope people don't boo carroll...as simpson's asked us not to in the journal

shame on anyone who even thought about doing it

Well that settles it. Boo Simpson too.

pathetic man...'don't boo him' .... harps on about how it's been hard for carroll, how he 'didn't ask for the price tag', lot of pressure etc etc

Boo frickedy hoo, am sure the millions makes it easier to handle, bless him

I love the boo or not to boo debate, I have not hatred for Carrlol or Jose and I find it fkn hilarious we are 8 points ahead of them in the league, but if booing them pisses them off and can put them off their game at all in any slight way then its all good.

They don't lay for us, they are here to try and beat us BOO A FKN WAY

I genuinely think times like this it would hit a player like Carroll harder if the whole crowd just went silent and sat down. Then scream like fuck for Ba and Cisse. :aww:

More often than not boo's help the player imo. He will be expecting it so his first touch met with silence would actually hit him harder.

It depends I think, Owen certainly wasn't helped by the reception he got last year.

That arrogant prick probably expected a heroes welcome

ANDY CARROLL has vowed NOT to celebrate if he scores against Newcastle United – as a mark of respect to the Toon Army.

The Teams lad will return to St James’ Park for the first time since leaving United in January last year.

Carroll was sold by the Magpies when Newcastle accepted a £35m bid from the Kop side – with the fee reinvested into the squad and the reason why Demba Ba, Papiss Cisse and Yohan Cabaye have helped United charge up to the Premier League’s top six.

There was anger when Carroll was sold, but few can argue with the way things have turned out, with Europa League football a real possibility mainly due to the financial windfall United recouped after Big Andy’s sale to Anfield.

Carroll, who picked up his first major honour by winning the Carling Cup this season, could not be happier.

His return to the club has similarities to the sale of Les Ferdinand in 1997, when the one-time No 9 was sold to Spurs for business reasons despite having previously pledged his allegiance to Newcastle.

The Geordie told the Chronicle in his only interview before the big game: “If I scored on Sunday then I wouldn’t celebrate.

“I hope I get a good reception from the fans, they’ll be getting one from me.

“I thought I did well for the club when I was there and loved it.

“I have some great memories from playing there.

“I have always had a good relationship with the Newcastle fans and it stems back to playing for them.”

Carroll turned down the chance to leave the club after relegation in 2009, but wanted to help lead the Magpies back to the Premier League.

His 19 goals in the Championship helped achieve that goal as the romped to the title.

Carroll’s form proved the catalyst for a England call-up from Fabio Capello and joined the likes of United No 9s Alan Shearer and Jackie Milburn to pull on the England jersey.

His 11 goals in the Premier League proved too much of a temptation for Liverpool, who paid over £35m for his services.

While Carroll was linked with a move to Newcastle last January, the Geordie still enjoys an excellent relationship with players and staff alike.

And Carroll said nothing will stop him being a proud Newcastle fan.

He said: “I still love the club and have a lot of friends still at Newcastle.

“I always want to see them doing well.

“I want to do well for Liverpool of course. But when I come off the pitch playing for Liverpool, how Newcastle have got on is the first score I look for.

“That will always be the case. I want to see them win because I’m still a fan.”

Should go for the Velodrome atmosphere of cheering like mad when our team have the ball and booing/whistling when they have the ball. To be honest it's not just Suarez, Bellamy, Carroll, Enrique, Gerrard, Carragher etc... their whole team is very hate-able.
