Guest taps01
DAVIDE Santon could line up at right-back for Newcastle United this season – but Alan Pardew still sees his future at left-back. http://www.shieldsgazette.com/sport/football/newcastle-united/santon-is-all-right-for-newcastle-united-boss-1-4774863 “Davide Santon’s the left-back here – that’s his favourite position – but it might well be that Davide and Ryan Taylor start at right-back and left-back. If that happens the club will have hit a new low. There´s NO WAY we will take a top 4 or 6 finish with a mighty Raylor as a starter. Even if it not might be Debuchy (how dumb can you be if we can´t get him?!) we must buy someone else. A new low? Really!!!

Support the team down the road then Are they signing Debuchy? If so I can see a lot on here being tempted to switch. Even yourself no doubt! /perfectly understandable if you do of course, not having a go.

Guest Phil K
Ryan Taylor was one of the main reasons we had such a good start. Scored a couple of cracking goals. One in particular of course....the Debuchy thing is dragging on as Lille dig their heels in (can't blame them really)

mattypnufc
http://www.losc.fr/actualites-foot-lille/rudi-garcia-parle-de-mathieu-debuchy Rudi Garcia talks about Mathieu Debuchy 26/07/12 Rudi Garcia has also used the press conference to answer questions on Mathieu Debuchy. "There is nothing new about the future of Mathieu. He spoke on his side. In our case, we are always dependent on an alternative to the same level in his position, so as not to deplete the team. This is the status quo for now on this issue. " In short, Lille are being sensible and holding onto him until they find a replacement, which is clearly not Sidibe judging from this. AyeDubbleYoo
Will be interesting to see if they stick to this as the window draws to a close. It's a rare club that will turn down millions of pounds to keep an unhappy player on the books for one extra season.

Played quite well actually until Saylor went down and whole back-line started to falter. Wouldn't want him starting again if we can help it, but we turned out just fine with him playing as much as he did.

His early season performances were amongst our best for any player. No one could quite believe it.
Smal
I dare say that had Ryan Taylor played the entire season we'd have won the league
ATB
I knew I would get a lot of sticks for my post. And even if I stretched things a little bit too much I maintain my opinion that a player like Ralylor shouldn´t be a starter in a club with those ambitions we have now. He´s not good enough. period. He would do an ok job overall, but would still be an passenger like Simpson and Willo last year. I can´t recall people wanting to keep them. So what is really the difference? I think it would be an disaster, in some sense, if we can´t by a winger. With a new wing back our team would improve so much it´s not even funny. Cajun
Can we blame our board if Lille are not willing to sell until they get an adequate replacement?
