AliGupter
No reason to complain tbh. 2 quite hard games, followed by 4 rather easy ones. Then Man Utd and the derby. No game is an easy game! Yeah, thats what I was thinking. Last time we played Spuds was when we lost 0-1 with Sherringham scoring and a pompous scouser at work said "You're in with the big boys now" with a sneer. You should have ripped his lips off.

jdckelly
tough start but no tougher than last seasons first 2 games. Spurs could be in a bit of chaos come the new season and god only knows how Chelsea will do.
nufc4eva
First 5 games could all be newish managers if Moyes went to Spurs. for Spurs/Chelsea/Villa might be best time to play them with managers bedding in and in case of Chelsea all new players
joeyt
Or they could all get new manager syndrome and we lose them all
High Five o
Or something in between, drew them all!
nufc4eva
Or they could all get new manager syndrome and we lose them all True but being at home for Spurs and Villa should work in our favour hopefully.
Dave
"I think the start is a lot tougher than last year and the end looks tough as well, so we will be hoping to get everything we want done as soon as possible and hopefully before we get into that opening period." I assume he means transfers?
madras
"I think the start is a lot tougher than last year and the end looks tough as well, so we will be hoping to get everything we want done as soon as possible and hopefully before we get into that opening period." I assume he means transfers? reads that way. have to say i think he's going over the top re our start and particularly the finish. I know he can't come out and say 'that section is piss easy' but he'd been better off saying we have to play everyone twice so it doesn't matter when. durhamunigeordie
Can anyone remember how many loyalty points were needed for the mackem away game last year?
Anderson
50/40ish.
durhamunigeordie
Thought it was. Will have to make 2 of the first 3 aways just to give me a shot at one. Actually scrap that only have 36. Shame, hopefully it will be on tv this year then.
Wardle93
was 100 to start with and it then went down to 40 i think. also anybody who wanted to build there points up for the derby, they can't do it now because its the 4th away game into the season. Jayson
Just seen. Horrible start that like. Spurs showed last season you can turn around a tough few opening fixtures though, Bolton showed the opposite. Hopefully we'll hold our own, think keeping confidence high regardless of results is key at the start.
Carlito
Going off last season it's encouraging when you can feel confident of taking just about anyone at home. Deffos a tough start though.
bowlingcrofty
I reckon spurs at home. The FA like to do the north east v north London on the same day.
ryanegg
Hope they don't move the Liverpool away game for Telly. First match in years thats been on my birthday, can't wait.
Sifu
Well, August should be fun. I'd take two points right now tbh. Although I guess we could give Spurs a decent game at St. James' - we can beat anyone there after all...
Stifler
Well I was right when I said we had Man Utd away on boxing day.
AliGupter
Hope they don't move the Liverpool away game for Telly. First match in years thats been on my birthday, can't wait. I recall one in my lifetime that was on my birthday, cup replay in 2002 when Pires got injured and we lost 3-0 I believe, bastard internationals means there's never one on my birthday, or even that close. Greg
Fine by me, quite like the early evening Saturday kick off. Bit more time in the pub before the game and often a better atmosphere.
