madras
It's just the way skirge made it sound, like the player had one choice, here, and said no which wasn't quite the case.
Deuce
Oh well, time to move on. Other fish in the sea. If it were a choice between the two, I'd be happier with Debuchy than De Jong anyway. Now we just have to sign Debuchy...
madras
If its true we offered 12mill then I bet that fee could get sturridge. Wonder what he's on at Chelsea and if he'd agree to us ?

Would love Sturridge, he can really be that Bellamy player. Though i suspect hell want to be the main man down the middle.
Mole_Toonfan
Doubt Sturridge would come here, unless he could be guaranteed a starting spot and his wages will be well above what we will pay.
Tiresias
Not convinced by Sturridge, seems a bit greedy to me
Mole_Toonfan
Not convinced by Sturridge, seems a bit greedy to me Agreed and doesn't work hard enough either also seem's to make the wrong decision too often. You could argue Pardew could coach these things into him but i'm not sure personally. Besides he wouldn't come here without certain starting place, would also command very high wages which we wouldn't give him.
Thomson Mouse
Don't think he'd fit into the team tbh, bit of an arrogant ego on legs.

ExiledGeordie
As we were in for him, Carr clearly saw him as having the talent which might've made him a real success at Newcastle. But we bid 11m, Twente wanted silly money and the lad chose elsewhere anyway. Not a disaster at all, move on scenario.

henke
Good luck to the lad. If a player would rather be somewhere else then we move on, dead simple really.
Ikon
Tbh, going there is probably a better move for him, main striker and all that.

Dinho lad
Fuck him. Gladbach will only probably last one season in the top 4 anyway.

aussiemag
Deal agreed at about £16m with Borussia Monstermunch according to Sky. Big money, for a young player unproven in the Champions League or a major European league.
