Doctor Zaius
Cant quite believe I've ventured into this collection of opinions that could only described as an abomination but what I will say is that regardless of how you rate this group of players, Alan Pardew is getting the absolute least out of them and has done all season. Not been calling for his head since the first slip up like some of the clowns in this thread but I really cannot see any progress from here. Needs to go in the summer for me. Some of the clowns in here seem to have more foresight than you seem to be able to call upon. Forsight my fucking little hairy arsehole. Some fuckers didnt give him a chance from the very start man. Finding criticism at any possible point. In the end, this seasons been minging and it's not going to improve but I refuse to acknowledge those who keep coming out the woodwork claiming 'forsight' and that they've known it was going to end like this from the very start. angrypirate71
That's what has been niggling away at the back of my mind though, the basics, little things like watching Simpson (ok, bad example) receive the ball from a CB. His ability prevents him from even touching the ball with his left peg, allowing him to face in the direction we're supposed to be playing, meaning his default is to knock it square to a retreating Cabaye, or back to the CB or Krul. Meanwhile, over his right shoulder, another attack remains unfulfilled... There are so many varying examples of this every game, I'm starting to wonder if AP is actively coaching the 'stupid' into this squad.
Parky
He's done. Two straight defeats against Wba and Liv and we'll be in serious relegation troubles...Pure luck we have a Qpr game coming when they'll already be down, which will prob get us the final 3 points to save us. It wasn't foresight, it was just understanding how the game is played successfully today. Sunderland scored three times today, not one goal came from a long hopeless punt up the field. ohmelads
Could it be that we scout and buy players based solely on their value for money (or potential value) and not with a view to how they might fit into any tactical gameplan? Cisse up top on his own doesn't benefit our team game, while the alternative - 442 - doesn't suit our midfielders. Any new coach is going to discover the same problems. Having said that, could we do better with the standard of players available? I believe so, and that lies at the manager's door. My patience is wearing thin after yesterday's disaster and it's becoming harder to make excuses for him.
Mole_Toonfan
Could it be that we scout and buy players based solely on their value for money (or potential value) and not with a view to how they might fit into any tactical gameplan? We know that we do.... thing is any decent manager will usually adapt to the players he has and use them in a way that suits their natural abilities. Pardew has clearly proven he has no idea how to do that, funny thing is if Leon Best stayed we would probably not be in this mess as he suits the type of crap Pardew wants his team to play. He only knows one way and no matter the players he has he will insist that upon them.
Barnes23
Jordan @JordanLeeJones_ 11h If anybody is retarded enough to think pardew should be sacked, tell me, I'll come break your legs. Tom Kelk @tomkelk 11h Stop calling for Pardew to be sacked. It won't help, and is not the way forward. It's been a bad season but lots of mitigating factors #NUFC Jack Matthewson @JackMatthewson 11h Pardew getting sacked isn't the answer more money should of been spent in the summer knowing we had europa league!! Paul Brotherton @PaulBrotherton_ 11h Last tweet about this. Anyone saying Pardew should be sacked are wrong. Why would you sack a man that's taken us to Europe? #badseason Babson @bethabson 11h Pardew has had a few shockers but no way does he deserved to be sacked. Stop being so stupid. #nufc

aussiemag
Its a no brainer, this clown has to be shown the door at the end of the season. We had a very strong team available yesterday, with no gameplan whatsoever. A good manager could do wonders with this squad and two or three signings. Pardew has shown nothing this season at all, to deserve another season at the helm. We have not had one convincing performance and are incredibly lucky to have gotten three points against, West Brom at home, Stoke at home and Fulham at home. We could be 6 points worse off and sitting in the bottom 3. Its nothing short of a disgrace.
Barnes23
Why are you quoting Sunderland fans tweets? my bad if so, its late and i'm lazy. merlin
None of these guys are as good as we say they are. Just like the mackems under bruce If you believe that, then do you want Graham Carr sacked..? He recommended them after all, and plenty thought we had got bargains..... LiquidAK
Perhaps some players have been slightly overhyped, but I don't for a second believe that they're shit. They're all really talented footballers who are being woefully misused. On paper we're easily a top 6 side. The weak link is painfully obvious. merlin
He's been shown up this season as a defensive minded manager uncapable of implementing an effective gameplan, but let's not pretend he's not been let down by some of his supposed better players, most of whom have not played anywhere near the standard they should be capable of. Ultimately though, the buck stops with him of course. Agreed here. Players need to take some blame too. Cabaye is nowhere near as good as what some people make him to be. Harsh, Cabaye hasn't been good of late, but Cabaye is one of our best players man. He runs his socks off and is very precise in his passing game. He's one of the few creative outlets. Unfortunately he's sitting deep and apparently carrying a knock. I'd rest him, he hasn't had a rest since he left Lille with the Euro last year and all. Yes, and apparently, Alex Ferguson doesn't think he's overrated either...!

oldtype
I'm getting to the point where every day that goes by without him being sacked I feel like writing big red numbers on Mike Ashley's office window like the main character in Zero Dark Thirty. Deuce
I firmly believe that, at full health, our strongest starting-XI is a CL contender. However, we still lack the depth to compete. City can bring Dzeko, Sinclair, Garcia, Kolarov, and Lescott off the bench, all of whom would start for almost all other PL sides. As much as I love Perch, Raylor, and Bigi, they don't exactly inspire much fear among our opponents.
