Mapou Yanga-Mbiwa joins AS Roma then Lyon

Recommended Posts

Key moment around the 80 minute mark when we were piling the pressure on, Benfica had a rare attack - he got the ball and tried to take on their player on the edge of his own box, lost it, then ran over and hacked the Benfica player.  Took the sting right out of us and killed our momentum, took a solid 5 minutes to recover.

Think in terms of the whole game we did okay though

His decision-making is suspect at times. He'll learn, not worried in the slightest.

Aye basically, he has problems of when to dribble and when to pass but as you say he will learn.

Which was one of Colo's problems when he first joined us.

Looked like he injured himself doing that....didn't really get above a trot in the last 10 mins and wasn't moving freely at all. Hope he's OK for Sunday.

All about adapting and getting more comfortable. We tend to forget he's only 23. More experience and he will stop doing those concentrations lapses.

No doubt he'll be a top top defender for us in 5-6 years time, if we haven't gone down or sold him by then.

It'll come with experience. I think he's solid enough and you definitely get the feeling that he will only improve. Both him and Williamson were good, good effort from two lads that have never played together before (I don't think anyways)

He just came from france, where the play is slower tempowise and the forwards press less then in the EPL. Offcourse it will take some time to get things right in regards of playing in posession. However his defensive play often are very good and will probably be even better with time. Should get a reliable partner for him as Saylor again proves he can't be counted on (allthough I love him to bits).

Like Sissoko, started out great, but has faded badly.

Still think he'll turn out to be better than Colo.

I think he's been pretty great on the whole, like. Better than our other January signings anyway.

 I have personally been impressed with Debuchy the most but other than that he's performed than any of the others.

Oh aye, shit. Forgot Debuchy came in January. He's been the best followed by MYM.
