AyeDubbleYoo
He just touches Suarez in the way that almost every player touches every other player when they're going for a ball in a similar situation. Problem is every striker is going to fall over and then the referee has to send him off.
The College Dropout
A straight red is a 3 game ban, no?
jdckelly
Had a very good game until that. Not sure how much you can really criticise it, he's obviously not trying to bring Suarez down. Stupid to touch him obviously. he put himself in the bad situation so yes I can and will blame him.
Guest
Had a very good game until that. Not sure how much you can really criticise it, he's obviously not trying to bring Suarez down. Stupid to touch him obviously. Agreed. Centre-backs are prone to a sending off in that position, better and more experienced centre-backs than Mbiwa would have been in trouble there. Clear red-card but harsh to blame him as such.
Parky
Poor decision making in that moment...Suarez still had a lot to do.
ElDiablo
So silly, we were doing well up until then. Can kiss goodbye this game now.
healthyaddiction
A straight red is a 3 game ban, no? Only for violent conduct.
Guest palnese
A straight red is a 3 game ban, no? Not for professional fouls.
jdckelly
A straight red is a 3 game ban, no? not for stopping a clear goalscoring chance only for violent conduct (ie compare someone doing a two footed tackle and getting a red to that)
Flip
Poor decision making in that moment...Suarez still had a lot to do. Agree and disagree. It was probably a goal anyways, it's just the fact that we're down to 10 men now..
George Bailey
Lad was playing well. Brushed, brushed against a grown man who fell as if the man from the grassy knoll had got him. Rash? maybe in today's climate and with today's rules but lets not vilify the lad. decison may have cost us the game mind, but I question the decision..or rather the rules that govern the decision. The College Dropout
Okay, that makes it a little more bearable.
healthyaddiction
WHile it was silly, Tiote being deeper than the rest of the back line due to sitting on his arse after giving the ball away stupidly is what really put us under pressure.
indi
Was Suarez onside?
Amir_9
Feel bad for the guy, he has shown flashes of good stuff and it takes a bit of time to adapt to the league. Hope he comes good for us. Regardless, you have to be smarter, there was NO need for that.
healthyaddiction
Was Suarez onside? From what I saw Tiote played him onside.
Segun Oluwaniyi
The red card/penalty combination is always so unnecessarily harsh. It was a really foolish thing to do, he had their attackers bottled up before hand and now all of that good work is undone.
Wallsendmag
Some more words of wisdom from Ronaldo discussing him a few weeks ago: Don't get me wrong, he'll be a very good defender in the Carvalho mould in the future
The College Dropout
Yeah Tiote played him onside. In hindsight he should've defended the position rather than trying to come back onside.
