Deuce
Moyes wants the job according to tomorrow's mirror. I know many people think he wouldn't come here but I think he'd jump at the chance. He needs to rebuild his career in the premier and a high profile club like Newcastle is probably as good an offer as he will get. I don't think any of the big clubs would be in for him after what happened at Man U. Personally I think he'll struggle with Carr's players for the same reason as Pardew. He's a defensive manager with old fashioned ideas. Don't think that'd be the case at all. For one, Pardew is an idiot and Moyes is not. He'd have us playing coherent football again. TRon
He's a defensive manager with old fashioned ideas. Like winning games by scoring goals and not letting them in, how retro. Moyes is no less progressive in his approach than your hero at Liverpool. Anyone who can't see what Rodgers has brought to Liverpool needs their eyes tested. AlanSkÃrare
I just want someone whose 80's and 90's ideas don't harm us. The innovative limitations among some sporting directors in England is ridiculous. The standard names in and around the Premier League are pretty much cut from the same cloth, confused 4-4-2 men with no idea on how to adapt their methods and principles to the modern game, but rather stubborn and conservative. Wingers who cross for two strikers, tough tacklers in midfield, center-backs who win headers. Their practice of these ideas work to different degrees, Pardew, McLeish, Souness etc. are obviously different from Moyes, Hughes and Redknapp in that their idea of football is too ill-informed and their ability to inspire a team is non-existant. The rest of them come with glass ceiling too though. The way forward is to get someone who's from the lower divisions who's been educated in the spill-overs from the international influx in England (like Eddie Howe), or from abroad. Jordan
Pepe Mel anyone?
oldtype
I feel like I'd be happy for about five minutes if Pardew is sacked. After that I'd be overcome by utter dread at what sort of unspeakably shit new manager Ashley would decide to punish us with.
Foluwashola
Pepe Mel anyone? Random bloke who could barely speak English and tried his best to relegate West Brom?

Guest TruToon94
Nobody is worse than Alan Pardew. Pulis, Curbishly and all the others are still a lot better than Pardew is. Don't dread Pardew getting sacked because he really is the worst manager in PL history. He's right at the bottom of the pile of s****. Unless we re-hire him our new manager will be better. duo
Would be delighted with Moyes. Surprised there are those that wouldn't be. Voted for Laudrup but would be very happy with Moyes. I think he's been vindicated for his time at Man U.

Yorkie
From the minuscule pool of potentials, I'd be happy to give Beardsley a crack. At least I would regain some familiarity with the club. Moyes et al are absolutely pie-in-the-sky.
merlin
From the minuscule pool of potentials, I'd be happy to give Beardsley a crack. At least I would regain some familiarity with the club. Moyes et al are absolutely pie-in-the-sky. NO WAY do I want this guy in charge of NUFC....none at all. I want a decent MANAGER, not a two-faced stool pigeon and even some of the names being bandied about as dire(like Venables)are better management potential than Beardsley. He was a great player and that's ALL he is.
Yorkie
He's never been a manager, though. If we're choosing, I'd rather take a punt on someone who's actually associated with the club, in this time of total disassociation and lack of identity. I'd rather have an up-and-comer than the dictionary definition of a hasbeen in Terry fucking Venables, who will obviously fail in the long run. SEMTEX
We need change, anyone who is even remotely associated with the current management team should be relieved of their duties. Beardsley included.
Deuce
Moyes has been telling anyone who'll listen that he wants the job from what I've read All things considered, it's still probably the most attractive potential opening in the league. I think he'd be up for the challenge of getting this motley crew winning again. That being said, I have no faith in Ashley 1) canning Pardew and 2) hiring a competent replacement. Yorkie
We need change, anyone who is even remotely associated with the current management team should be relieved of their duties. Beardsley included. It isn't going to happen. I'm just saying, if it came to Beardsley getting the gig until the end of the season, I could live with that. I'd rather him than another of Ashley's galpals from the pub. I just want to feel some connection to the club again.
SEMTEX
Trust me, it'd be a week before you realize what kind of man Peter Beardsley is and it'll just be another childhood idol on the scrap heap with all the paedos.
Wullie
Frank de Boer never has anything but good things to say about Newcastle. I'd sell my granny to have him here. The things he says about Anita here man: http://www.chroniclelive.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/frank-de-boer-backs-vurnon-1369506 And we've got fucking Jackie Colbers wandering around doing jack all while Anita can't get on the pitch. What an utter embarrassment.
KaKa
Vurnon man ... my heart bleeds for the guy. I'll be most excited for the players once Pardew gets canned. They deserve so much better too.
