Who would you go for?

Bemuses me why people are so certain Ashley will be happy to buy players like January's and see no return.

I can't see him replacing Pardew with anyone better though. Bargain basement Mike, dishing out on a decent continental coach?

Exactly.

What if they ask Carr for his advice on this front ?.

They most likely will.

See no reason why we couldn't go and get a bargain coach to go with our bargain players. Bargain doesn't mean bad by any means.

It doesn't cost that much to bring in an improvement on Pardew. Sunderland just did it.

Might get shouted down for this but thought Di Canio was going to be a good coach from seeing his Swindon team. The fact that he's gone to the mackems hasn't changed that. Seems a good motivator and likes to attack, would rather have that than what we've got atm, political leanings aside. :dontknow:

I was worried as well. I still feel he might get bored at Sunderland do a Roy Keane long term, but I've no doubt while he's interested he'll get them going in the right direction.

I know this will sound moronic, I'd sack Pardew tomorrow and bring Nobby in until the end of the season.

Sounds fine, you mean Nobby Solano and not Nobby of Nobby's Nuts though. Just thought i'd check ;)

It does.

The same thing would have been said on the Titanic about replacing the Captain before 15th April 1912.

Why Nobby? Other than playing the trumpet and liking a drink, what else does he offer?

We would only get a current unemployed manager IMO

Obviously a lot of these are unrealistic or we really wouldn't want (last 6)

Rafa Benitez

Co Adriaanese

Luis Enrique

Felix Magath

Huub Stevens

Lothur Matthaus

Laurent Blanc

Gerard Houlier

Avram Grant

Roberto Di Matteo

Bernd Schuster

Christophe Daum

Javier Irureta

Mark Hughes

Owen Coyle

Alan Curbishley

Martin O'Neill

Alex McLeish

Owen Coyle

We need to be a bit more creative and hire a manager for his coaching ability not his name. Southampton and Swansea did it, and sad to say, looks like Sunderland might have as well.
