Yea he is terrible. But then, tell me, when is the last time we manage to put in a few quality cross from our wingers like Downing last match?

Can you imagine a team without a good hold up striker and no wingers? WTF? You say he has mismanaged Marvraux. Are you serious? where can he play? he is ineffective on the left, in centre we have sissoko cabaye tiote and he is never good at defending. I already ignored the fact that he has fitness problems.  So tell me where should marveaux play except from the bench as an impact sub?

as just about everyone else see's play him behind the striker, haul shola off 'cause he's f***ing terrible, and either move santon to LW or play gouffran there

i'm referring of course to this weekend just gone specifically

as i've stated earlier i accept the difficulties and limitation he's working under with regards not getting the players he wants and being undermined and so on, but his f***ing job is to work around s*** and get results

come on, give me one example of something innovative he's done with the personnel available to him since we finished 5th, just one time he made a noticeable change and it succeeded

i honestly don't think it exists, and it should

Moved Obertan to the left wing, and he played a blinder. Never seen on the left again.

He certainly did against Bordeaux.

We will be relegated this season with him still in charge, what I have seen in last two games shows we now have no clue whatsoever how to score goals and have even gone backwards from last season.

Back to 4-4-2 last two games without a out and out winger in sight, our players are suited to a short passing game as they are not any good at playing direct balls. We look totally disorganised and players look clueless as to what to do with the ball.

Most of the time we look like a bunch of strangers thrown together. Im convinced a new manager without new players would still see a massive turnaround, however that assumes we go and get a forward thinking manager from abroad without a ready made british manager excuse book.

Pardew is a total cretin and I cant watch 7 more years of this,by which point we would be in league 1. My season ticket will not be renewed in feb if changes are not made because I hate everything about watching us play these days

Ashley's the bottom line cause.

Pardew was cheap, no-one in top two divisions would touch him with a bargepole. Yet he ends up here.

Kinnear is an better example. No-one in top FOUR divisions would have touched him

So - it's Ashley the cause.

We HAVE to start boycotting games.

But we're still turning up, still buying shirts

Hit Ashley where it hurts. Bank balance

This is the pardew thread, why are people constantly going on about it all being Ashley's fault? That's for the Ashley thread. Here we discuss pardew abs his performance surely?

He's shit and should be sacked.

The reason he's still here is because of Ashley.

Hurts the club and team more than it does Ashley.

And there's the rub.  Nothing will happen with the mantra 'support the club, not the regime'. 45,000+ will still walk through the door every second Saturday and Ashley can do whatever the fuck he wants.

Ashley will do what he wants whether there's 45k or 4500 there.

He's more likely to fuck off quicker if no-one goes to the matches imo, I'm yet to hear a convincing argument otherwise. It'll also make prospective buyers more keen to come in, the only way would be up.

From this season onwards they're part of the problem, as far as I'm concerned. They've had their season to figure it out, any longer and they're complicit in it. The saddest thing about all this is that Ashley has proved without doubt that you can do virtually anything you want to NUFC fans and they'll keep giving you their money. It's not the best message to send to the rich folk of the world.

I dunno, I support my other club more now, Athletic (Bilbao). Was there a couple of weeks ago and spent £200 of my hard earned in their official club shop. Have spent £0 on NUFC in the last 2 seasons, not even Sky Sports :p And I've been an NUFC fan for 22 years. I'll happily get back on board when Ashley goes.

He seems like a stubborn fucker t me, I reckon he is more likely to hold on until he gets his money back.

If this new TV deal hadn't come in he might have considered it but at this point I think the quicker he gets his money the quicker he goes.

Not sure about that. Will make life much more difficult for him/push him closer to the door at least.

Edit: won't happen, but if we're talking about hypotheticals...

Everybodys assuming he'll go once he's got his money back. But if Ashley can take ~£20mil per season out of the club why would he sell?

Because he realises he could get a better return elsewhere?

He took this club over a long time ago now and as far as I am aware he is still in the red. There MUST be better returns in business than football.
