Tottenham will set a new 'home' attendance record tonight:

We can confirm that we have sold over 85,000 tickets and that tonight's attendance will therefore mark a new Club record for a home match, beating the 75,038 mark set in an FA Cup tie against Sunderland all the way back in 1938.

Tonight's home attendance also sets a new mark for a home attendance for an English club in the Champions League, currently held by Manchester United - 75,520 against Lyon in the 2007-08 season.

Man Utd fans only went to watch Ben Arfa in 2008.

There's a valid point about parachute payments TBH, does seem unfair that Championship teams continue to receive PL money. Doesn't effect us in this case since we've sold so many players, but it's a fair point.

Agree. You got relegated, now fucking deal with it. There's enough money in the game now for anyone to not be crippled by a relegation.

It irritates me because we're not a Man City or Chelsea - we don't have millions of pounds due to some freak who wants to play with a football team.

We have a lot of money to spend because of the revenue coming into the club from the huge fanbase that we have, the fact that we've been sitting in profit for years because our owner wanks off to balance sheets and because we had some assets that some idiot clubs thought were worth buying for daft fees.

Swedish centre-back Sotiris Papagiannopoulos is joining Premier League side Swansea City for a trial.

What a class name.

He's been good the couple of times I've seen him. Premier League sides could do worse than taking a punt on the Östersund manager. Don't remember his name, but young, English manager that plays very good football with extremely limited resources.
