How do we win when our fans are gurning?

How do we sail when our ferry's burning?

Does the expression "mackem", which we foisted on them as an insult about 30 years ago and which they now take such pride in, come from the old shipyard saying - "we mackem ower here and we burn 'em ower there" ?

Guy at work is a mackem. Went home for Xmas and came back with a black eye.

Turns out his cousin punched him and his nan on Boxing Day. Classy.

Pick the right day like.

Aston Villa are pretty much always better away from home, but it's still a big loss that.

We should have won by considerably more than one goal yesterday, too.

Sunderland looked terrible.
